Among your gaming friends, what are you known for?

The Final Fantasy guy. I'm actually an all-around gamer, but I was pretty much jizzing my pants when FFXIII first came out. So I'm known as the Final Fantasy guy. Then I have a friend who is into Portal and Fallout (odd combination, I know), and another who is good at fighting games. Then there's the one who's a gamer but isn't confident enough to go around telling other people. Oh, and the gamer girl.

So... yeah.

The guy who simultaneously elects to play the Meat Shield in a Diablo-style game and mutters under his breath at how he'd rather play something more exotic.

The guy who hides out during the whole match, yet brings home the best K:D rate on the team, despite being the lowest rank and using a weapon they ignore.

The only guy in the group with fingers too slow to play a fighting game or beat Guitar Hero on any difficulty level higher than Medium.

...Yeah, those are a few things I've been known for.

in any fps I am known as the guy who gathers up subtelty and tactics and throws them out of the window, blindly charging the enemies and shooting anything in my path (and dying all the time)

back in the day when I used to play WoW, it was pretty much the same as with any fps, but I didn't die quite as often as that was our general aproach (damage>tactics)

On the off chance I join the others in a racing game I am known as the guy who rightfully doesn't have a drivers license...

Well, when my circle of friends was still a circle instead of what it is now I guess you could say I was the jack of all trades, master of none.

I am good enough at most of the games we played to come in second out of three people. Unfortunately we never really played any co-op games due to one of my friends having a need to show off his e-peen in adversarial multiplayer all the time.

Now, that the circle has broken up and I have two distinct people with their own personalities to play with, one of which likes the idea of co-op, my role may change.

Our LAN group has one guy (the organizer) who's immensely good in every game we play, he's got great leadership skills, and his team nearly always wins. He's kind of like The Hero.

I'm not as good as The Hero, but I'm good enough so that we never get to play on the same side, as people start whining about our team being OP with both me and The Hero in it. I'm sort of the Lancer, the guy who's almost as good as The Hero, but I lack the leadership, decision making, and planning ahead skills.

TEAM PLAYER is what I usually play under in LAN games.

The irony is that I never, EVER help my teammates as much as I should (partly accidental, partly on purpose for yelling at me when I forget to check on them).

Example:

Me (far ahead in L4D2): Hey guys, there's weapons here!

Rest of team (near dead): Urgh.... *hunterpounced

The funny thing is, on internet I am one of the few people to actively consider the team and its current situation, i.e. if we have a tonne of heavies and soldiers on TF2, I'll go as medic. If no one's pushing the cart, I'll go as a Scout, etc.

I'm known as the asshole. My friend better not do something stupid because he'll hear about it for the next hour or day or so.

I am acknowledged to be the most epic turtler in any RTS game I play with my friends.

OT: I guess I'm known as that guy that doesn't like Halo...
I'm also 'that guy', but I'm known by my friends as the guy who says he sucks at games and then turns around and wins a lot of the time.

It depends on the game for me too.
In World of warcraft I'm known to always help with lore related explanations just because I read from the wiki/books.I'm also known for always having a WArrior as my main character , and using suicide tactics in battlegrounds(Meaning I die but my teammates survive), while playing a warrior.
IN shooters my friends say that I'm the Very stealthy Sniper :)...That's right I'll kill you and you won't know were it came from. They also keep telling me to hurry up.....Speed is not my thing in an on-line shooter :))
As for the rest of the genres, like fighting.....Im the guy that keeps mashing buttons and keeps pulling those hard combos out, even though my friends know the combo, i still pull it of first :D

Out of all my gamer friends, apart from one other i'm a complete nerd (well minus the intelligence).

Anyway i guess i'm the one that accepts others opinions. Not many people like that these days.
IRL or in Gaming. Mention anything about PS3 and my friends will go batshit insane. I mean i'm not a PS3 guy but that's just because theres only a couple of games that interest me. I don't have a fit when someone disses Xbox. (unless they have no reason to diss)

Xbox 360 has a lot more games that interest me. But i would like to play LBP and MGS4.

The medic. I always look out for my teammates, and I'm always the one sprinting towards their almost-lifeless body screaming "DON'T YOU FUCKING DIE ON MEEEE" over the voice chat for extra dramatic effect :)

the stealthy one, my friends are always jealous of my brilliant ability to somehow be the sneakiest bastard alive on any game.

it really came around as i managed to sneak up and kill 3 of them from behind on gears before waiting for the last guy to come and check wtf just happened only to meet me face to chainsaw.
