An escapist zombie movie?

I was wondering...

Could the escapist make...A ZOMBIE MOVIE!?!

Some people could be actors, some could be writers...Some could be camera guys...Hmm.

Would it be possible?

I would love to see this, provided the Escapist can get us all in one place or something in order to do this.

id love to do this but how would it work getting everyone together? would we send our own tapes and the escapist will edit there favorites into a movie or something. could be lots of shorts of this outbreak from all over the world.

That would work. It could also be animated, but that would take forever.

Well you could try and do a L4D Machinima type thing. Then you wouldn't have to worry about to much modeling, just the script. Maybe get some people who know it and some modelers and do some "plastic sugery" on the characters.

Probably not, I honestly like the idea of all the parts being made separately and them being edited together. Most likely to come out as a comedy than anything. But it could be done as a horrer to.

I know I've got all kinds of people up here that could work on it.

If we want to do this, we should, y'know, get someone to write it (tentatively and shyly raises hand) make it multiple stories happening all over the world, shoot it all over the world, and send it to one central point for editing altogether.

That would be awesome!
We'd be in different situations! We lesser posters would be the mindless Zombies/gaming Zombies like Ed turned out to be.
Uber posters like Furburt, Skarin etc would be the "survivors"...Actually Furburt would be more like L.J from Resident Evil Apocalypse, smoking weed and mowing down Zombies in his car.
The Mods would be the survivors who barricade themselves in the city and take pot shots at whoever try's getting to close.
And actual Escapist staff would be the super secret organisation who fucked the world up (No offence).

EDIT: let me know what happens, if i can get the time I'll try and help out, (i'd probably only be any good for brainstorming and giving Idea's *sad face* but it's the thought that counts right???)

Through this you could make intelligent zombies so they could speak if you want like as the person above me says maybe have everyone over a certain post count that wants to as a main character maybe 5000+ to start off or something. Then have maybe 1000-5000 being support characters or people who die early then anyone under could be red coats if you wanna do it by post count. I suppose that wouldn't be fair on some people but I'm sure it could work maybe even try get it doen for Escapist Film Festival and see if yous can do monthly movies or something.

Thats actually pretty cool! You can get some better zombie sprites on MovieMaker but the animation is really badly limited...worse than that.

Well thats only Gmod I'm sure something like this could be done with anything even say a mod for Cod4 on a 64 man server as that would give enough spcae for everyone just showing it as an example.

I think something like would be the best idea as there is no way it could be done with actual people considering gun laws in places and certain users actually getting to places. Unless say it was different stories all filmed seperately but come together as one over arcing plot. Flash animation could work to though something like Counter Stick [http://www.stickpage.com/counterstick.shtml] in a L4D style maybe? Although doesn't have to be stick men just trying to make it easy for people to do.

I understand what you're saying about post count as it should be taken into consideration as hardly anyone hasn't heard of say Neonbob, Pimppeter, etc and they all have high post counts. The higher your post count the more people have seen you and the more chance they will know who you are in the movie.
