much as I like being a pariah. Going upto ppl n saying some gaming meme as a form of super secret code greeting would be one nerdism too far for me. Not least coz itl also inadvertently identify myself as a gamer nerd to the normals out there *shock horror*

Exactly my thoughts. Another problem is that I think a greeting like that should be understandable by gamers worldwide-so it should be a little gesture with your hand, maybe a certain way to wink with an eye or something like that instead of a nerdish sentence taken out of context that will make everybody in the room stare at you. I think that a 'graphical' thing like a gesture, t shirt or badge/tag would be better because its international and it could be used way more efficently in crowded areas.

that is a great idea, it is subtle and doesn't require us yelling loudly "METAL GEAR!!????" into rooms. is there a manufacturer that can mass produce rings with insignias on them? if we all donated and got like 1 mil rings made we could send them out to escapists. would be great!!!
