"Have you seen Dr. Freeman?"
There we go :D
i was going with that and then i realised the insane social weirdness that brings up if someone isn't gamer. it's like saying have you seen a doctor? they may think sometyhing is wrong. so probably change it to "have you seen gordan freeman?"

Thats why I had it "Mr. Freeman" in the first place >.<
You could start of with saying "Have you seen Mr. Freeman" and the correct respons whould be "Its doctor to you" or somthing.

ok, "press start" and maybe *thinking* claw hand? i mean, ive gotten that from just about every type of game out there, from civilization to mindless boring fighting games.

or maybe mentioning 4pool? no thats too scary.

"Now, about that beer I owed you"

A bit general though.
That wouldn't work in pubs... people would just pretend to know what you're talking about for a free beer. I know I would :p

Come ON people. The most obvious one EVER has to be:

"Press X to talk."

Someone should have said that.

Other than that it should be a pretty general one, not everyone plays Bioschock, or WoW, or whatever game you pick it from. It has to be something found in all, or at least enough games, that it's recognizable anyway. It's much easier for Trekkies, or Star wars fans since it's a single work, a single fiction, and everyone will have seen the same thing. Use the force, or live long and prosper works because they're in everything.

When it comes to gaming it's all just one game. Sure, everyone who's played Half-life knows Black Mesa, and probably a lot more people too, but it's still excluding people who only play other types of games.

Edit: Otherwise, "I maxed out charisma, what have you got for me?" is nerdy enough.
