Tired irritation. Its all well and good in theory, but ignores the fact that the gene pool intermitently churns out some tosser with a hard-on for tanks, uniforms, and telling everyone else what to do- you need to be organised if you don't want these little fucks to roll over you.
I also dont like the idea because it means ideas such as justice get left in the hands of everyone - I can't imagine for a minute that someone suspected of, say, murder, will get anything like the objective and fair process you can expect from a robust legal system at the hands of the locals.
