Not really a weapon but the last boss in tekken 6 was so fucking overpowered. Once he even scratches you; you might as well be dead. UMP-45 from mw2, it had a MAXIMUM 3 bullet kill regardless of anything apart from painkiller... I dunno, one of the assault rifles in BFBC2. The M16A2 i think it's called.
Tekken 5's Jinpachi is a goddamn mother-ok...calm down. Yes, Tekken bosses or overpowered SOBs. For me, the noob-tube and the Pred missile from MW2.
Yeah i remember Jinpachi, he was also a son of a ***** however he's still doesn't make me rage as much as Azazel did, Also, i've thought of another overpowered weapon. The combination of the TF2 Demoman's chargin' targe plus either the Eyelander of the Scotsman's Skullcutter. :(

Not so overpowered I wanted to stop playing, but if we're talking about multiplayer I'd have to go all the way back to the double barrel, or 'super' shotgun in Doom 2. Yes, in the game that brought us the BFG, I still think the super shotgun is more overpowered. It's a common weapon, ammunition is plentiful, it takes about the same amount of time to reload 2 shells as it takes to rack the slide on a single barrel shotgun, and if it does max damage it's stronger than a rocket launcher. Pretty much all you had to do to kill someone with it was look at them for a few seconds.
The thing that annoyed me most about that weapon was that it made the chainsaw - the most fun weapon in the game - completely obsolete in single-player and it took me (as a kid) ages to realise why I wasn't using the chainsaw as much anymore. In Doom 1, the chainsaw was actually a useful weapon against the melee demons, as it would stop them from getting in range to hit you (it had longer range then their melee), while doing constant damage, essentially stunlocking them. Sounds overpowered, but if you missed it they'd be in your face (and whilst Doom seems absurdly easy now, back then we hadn't developed the FPS skills - people weren't even sure for a year or so whether mouse+keyboard was better than the AWSD keyboard system as a control system). And it was highly amusing:). The double-barelled shotgun removed all utility for the chainsaw - anything that could be chainsawed could be one-shotted by the double-barrel and so you were always better off keeping your shotty out, especially as it had the game's most abundant ammo.

Then add to that that the shotty was a 'hitbox' weapon, whereas Doom's 'more powerful' weapons were all dodgeable projectiles. It meant that the double-barrelled shotgun user literally just had to be facing your direction (fake 3D meant height of shot was auto-aimed), whereas rarer and supposedly higher tier weapons could be dodged. Good luck getting off a BFG shot before getting double-shottied.

M4 from the first Modern Warfare game. Sure, everyone always whined about the M16, but the M4 with a silencer had absolutely zero recoil and virtually no spread at the distances you'd usually fight at. You could clear a room by keeping your gun at about head-height and strafing back and forth.

People who play BF:BC2 complained for months about the M2 Carl Gustav Rocket Launcher. The rocket traveled at an amazingly fast speed, extremely accurate and had High Explosive Ammo with a very large kill radius. It was like sniping with a rocket launcher.
This or the M60 before it was nerfed.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBEESSSS!

basically I hate getting one shotted without the enemy even needing to aim or even know I'm there. there are few places where its used strategically (riot shield bypass or mob of enemies)

The knife in COD. Get rid of it.
the knife would be a lot more fair if you had to hold it out like an actual weapon.
True, so you can't just panic and use it. But it's kinda like the tactical knife in MW2, and that was still annoying. I'd like to see it be a two-hit kill weapon in core modes.

Op-Intensify

Found in: Armored Core 3, and Armored Core: Silent Line
A part so powerful, its controversy created a personal schism in the online community.
It literally warps the metagame into one centered on idiocy.

Sniper Rifle (Unreal Tournament)
Found in: UT'99
50 shots. No reload. Near-semi-auto firing rate. 40 damage per non-headshot. Headshots are lethal. Amazingly easy-to-use scope, perfect accuracy. Hitscan weapon.
People talk about the Flak Cannon. This weapon is great at any range, even melee (due to UT99's generous headshot hitbox).

An easy fix would have just been to make you stop moving when you swing it. People with commando and marathon dominate too many maps.

Sniper rifles in most games. They're the only gun that kills in 1 hit at all ranges, close range? 1 hit, medium range? still one hit, long range 1 hit. So for all of us non-sniper rifle users who chose an assault rifle that's balanced to kill in a certain amount of bullets with different firing rates and damage, snipers get to do it at all ranges? No.

To drive my example in more, I was using a shotgun in bad company and I ran in (spas shotgun, magnum ammo) , shot a sniper he survived my shot and killed me with his sniper rifle in one shot. That's BULLSHIT, there is no defending that at all, it's unbalanced and stupid.

At close range sniper rifles should do minimum damage unless it's a headshot, for those who've yelled at me that snipers need to be able to defend themselves at close range, pull out your backup pistol and use that.

When you go shotgun you have to watch people run by all the time who're out of range, as a sniper you should have to hide as well when someone gets too close. You don't get to be an all range fighter.

And don't give me it takes skill to do quick scoping, it doesn't. It's an exploit.

And that's it, sniper rifles in 99% of games are OP.
To be fair< most people don't know how to quickscope, and the accuracy of snipers are terrible when not scoping, so really, it's just a matter of personal ability. Besides, in the Bad Company games, sniping is generally a one hit kill only in point blank range, or if it's a headshot.

And whippin' out your pistol is usually only last ditch for people who are in a 1v1 encounter, sure, it's quick, but the other guy is usually quicker because he doesn't have to pull out another weapon and he's already seen you.

I don't usually snipe, but I can understand why people complain when game devs. nerf sniping, it's almost a bit of a talent in a way.

I mean anybody can pick up an assault rifle, SMG, or even a shotty and shoot dudes, but it's more of a learning curve with sniper rifles.

Besides, if memory serves, one can use shotguns in long range encounters in BF:BC2. I remember being able to get headshots with the shotty+12 gauge slugs across maps.

(Poster's elder step brother)
The owner of this account lied here. He cares when he is killed. Drove me insane friday night to the point where I had to leave the room to get away from his complaining.
Okay, I was the same at his age but, damn dude: Your sick! Put the controller down and watch TV or go to bed. Because everything is harder to do, and things are a lot more annoying when sick.

Okay. Done, the original poster will probably be back shortly.
P.S. Leaving browsers open FTW!

In League of Legends (an online PC game that you should all look into) the character ash, with the right items can get a 100% critical rate and kill people on the same level in 2 shots. Total bullshit.
