I don't often swear, but when I played Shadow of The Colossus, I'd punch myself in the leg til it went numb, sort of like a bargain with myself along the lines of "if you make it through this bit without, you won't have to feel pain/numbness anymore".Bellvedere said:So I'm here sitting in my room listening to my housemate in the living room screaming at the tv because he died in Halo 3 again. Since I am on a massive solitaire losing streak I got to thinking instead.
When I play games, and when I die alot or reload ages before where I get up too, I get frustrated. But never frustrated to yell "Oh for fucksake!" loud enough for the neighbors to here.
I've watched my boyfriend play the same part of uncharted 2 over and over for about 20 minutes and he wasn't particularly perturbed about it. Certainly no yelling.
My brother on the otherhand is more like my housemate, will sit and swear at the TV even if it's just in single player. And it will put him in a really lousy mood. For ages.
I know that I hate playing co-op with these sort of people. No matter whose making the mistake it is they will start shouting, not necessarily at you, but it's hard to have fun with someone who is pretty angry.
So what do you think? Are you an angry gamer? Ever made your best friend cry during a co-op match? Ever had to endure a gaming session with someone that couldn't take the pressure?
