So I'm here sitting in my room listening to my housemate in the living room screaming at the tv because he died in Halo 3 again. Since I am on a massive solitaire losing streak I got to thinking instead.

When I play games, and when I die alot or reload ages before where I get up too, I get frustrated. But never frustrated to yell "Oh for fucksake!" loud enough for the neighbors to here.

I've watched my boyfriend play the same part of uncharted 2 over and over for about 20 minutes and he wasn't particularly perturbed about it. Certainly no yelling.

My brother on the otherhand is more like my housemate, will sit and swear at the TV even if it's just in single player. And it will put him in a really lousy mood. For ages.

I know that I hate playing co-op with these sort of people. No matter whose making the mistake it is they will start shouting, not necessarily at you, but it's hard to have fun with someone who is pretty angry.

So what do you think? Are you an angry gamer? Ever made your best friend cry during a co-op match? Ever had to endure a gaming session with someone that couldn't take the pressure?
I don't often swear, but when I played Shadow of The Colossus, I'd punch myself in the leg til it went numb, sort of like a bargain with myself along the lines of "if you make it through this bit without, you won't have to feel pain/numbness anymore".

I tend to get angry on MW2 when playing online. Not so much because of dying but mainly because of stupid XBL kids who spout shite down the mic.

But i only rage when i'm by myself. if online, i may rage, but i mute my mic first. i hate fuckers who scream in my ear, so i make sure i don't do it

Yesterday I received 3 messages from a stranger suggesting the sexual habbits of my mum because he thought I camped him in MW2. I just have to laugh at these people. I used to be a bit like it but now I just feel sorry for anyone getting this worked up over a game. They need to go outside and see the sunshine

I've been known to have the occasion bouts of gamer rage. Usually when I get to that point though, I figure it's time I took a break from that game.

I am sometimes but when it happens I try to realize it and take a break. Once I calm down and come back in an hour or two I can usually beat that part in one shot.

I have involved and witty conversations with my pc, even on single player, unless i had no chance, then i stop talking at all.

Hmm, I can't say I get extremely angry, if I become too frustrated then I'll turn off the game or drop the f-bomb. Online gaming I just do for kicks. So it's more pseudo frustration in that case.
