So, my ex girlfriend used to live at my place, then she moved out when we broke up.. we were still going to be friends, and i agreed to look after some of her stuff that she couldn't take to her new place, such as her cat.
Mayhem grew on me quite alot, and now that my ex has left my life and gone to a new city to mess with people there, i'm left without a little kitty. I'm going to get a new one, but need names! So come up with whatever names you wish, and i'll choose one.
i'd prefer it to be a reference to something, but anything is good.. :3

Get the kitty first, then ask us again. Chances are a name will come to you before that time anyway.

So, funnily enough, there was someone who named her cats after fault-lines in the Earth, one of them being Garlock. And instantly, a friend of mine and I decided that a wicked-cool name for a character would be Garlock The Destroyer.

Go on. Name 'im Garlock. It'll be fun!

@Pigeon_Grenade: I'd love to, but we have animals here that are referred to, and called to as "dog", and even though i will probably be moving out some time, dog isnt something i say in a "nice" tone of voice.. D:
@FalloutJack: maybe, its an interesting name :3

I typically go with odd names, that are somehow relevant to me.

I had a mythology period where I named cats Stratus, Cyrus, Isis
I had a more music themed period where I named cats Trent(reznor)Beck, Syd and Nancy
I had an animal phase where had cats named Squirrel, Monkey, Owl, and Cow
Last cat I had was named Cabbit , As his ears were so big he was like half cat, half rabbit.

So, my suggestion, go with something... abnormal.

I always name my animals after ones in works of fiction, so here are my suggestions:

Boys: Shere Khan, Scar, Bagheera, Liano, O'Malley, Lucifer, Sabor, Sgt. Tibbs.

Girls: Zira, Felicia, Duchess, Julie Newmar

You know the cat's personality, so you need to name it yourself. If you can't think of anything, something will strike you.

Though I'll say that bad pet names say a lot about their owners. They show what kind of taste you have, what kind of intelligence and creativity as well. I once knew a girl with a cat named Hogarth. That is an awesome name for a cat, it's simultaneously classy, cute, and creative.

Seriously, the personality thing is no joke. This is like asking strangers to name your kid... you can't just give it whatever name you think sounds cool. It has to fit the individual cat.

Or you could call it Milo in memory of my little kitty that died.

There are some interesting names coming out, keep them coming, the more obscure the better! :D
