I can see where you are going with this, but I don't remember any magor blemishes on alot of American cartoons (Suko's scar aside), and musch of American telavition either. They have the right creams and makeup for that : )

The eyes I covered int he cliche part, but that is something anime stole from Disney, and animation are comics in general uses this...alot.

And that sort of sexism was fine 500 years ago. But it's the year 2011 and the West has gotten pretty far ahead in terms of tolerance and diversity. America elected a black man into the White House. When will the Japanese people elect a white man into their legislature? Just saying.

To actually compare any countries ethnicity to America's and try to claim higher ground over that is just... wow. Because you know, a country that founded itself entirely on immigration should be exactly compared to any country. I know you have good intentions but you really should do a little homework before doing stuff like this.
1: The "Angels" from Eva is a product of the English translation while the original was merely Messenger.

And "Angel" is derived from Ancient Greek (or something) meaning, "Messenger"

2. America has porn, totally. I think Los Angeles invented porn, or at least is the home of the modern porn industry - that much is true. And porn is part of Western Culture - it always has been. Think of words like brothel, burlesque, "house if ill repute," and images of distinctly Western buildings will take prevalence.

Don't forget "Nunnery", although it aint as vulgar as the term used to be

Also for many that I have seen, their politics on the shows don't make any sense. (Think it was a gundam show that is my best example where they tried to stop all war by attacking anyone who tried to fight)

It is not that the politics in Gundam shows don't make sense, it is because: Politics + 50 layers of complexity + Backstab, DividedBy, Confusion = Head Ache.
