It?s probably One Piece, at least I?ve watched pretty much all the episodes and I?m not bored of it yet. Other than that I?m watching Shiki right now and it seems pretty good.
I?ve also enjoyed the Hellsing OVA but I recommend Baccano! and Paranoia Agent the most.

That's quite fitting... ^^

If I had to choose only one I would pick:
Movie -> Jin-Roh or Grave of the Fireflies
because both films still have a strong effect on me, although I've watched them serveral dozen times.

"Short" Series -> Cowboy Bebop or Black Lagoon.
because everything(action, comedy, story, fan-service, etc.) is in them to some degree and almost all episodes are great.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When they Cry): An excellent psychological horror/mystery Animé. Can't recommend it enough., nor could The Escapist's Review of it [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/anime/6503-Anime-Review-Higurashi-When-They-Cry]

Schoolgirl Tentacle Rape XIV. It was clearly a superior product to XIII and the change in directors between XIV and XV clearly showed in the art direction.
But it was still nothing compared to MMDCXVII. That by now classic instalment was the best so far! I lol'ed.

Only one so far has appealed to me, as most recommendations from friends do not sit well with me.
It was Cowboy Bebop, since it is portrayed well enough as just a more advanced version of us, and no ridiculous magic / spirits / demons / crazy things. Though if anyone wishes to recommend me more of that sort of thing, it would be much appreciated.

Please, hardcore fans know that the first Schoolgirl Tentacle Rape was the best in the series and it went downhill from there.

Aside from animes that do awful things to little girls, my favourite is probably a tie between Cowboy Bebop and Fooly Cooly.

Hellsing Ultimate

It can be summed up as Count Dracula with a huge gun fighting vampires and Nazis for the British Monarchy and Church of England. Its silly and action packed and its great

I'd have to say Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I watched a few episodes of the first series, but it just didn't pull me in as much as Brotherhood did.

Azumanga Daioh. Yeah I know a pretty mainstream choice but it's popular for a reason.

Unless manga counts too, then Negima.

If we speak about Series, I stick to Outlaw Star. Also, any anime that doesn't go over 30 episodes is fine in my books, like Hellsing or Escaflowne. Animes that go over that tend to tire me.

As for movies, anything made by Miyazaki and Otomo is a masterpiece.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
Everything (series and movies) Ghost in the Shell is just great. The first season of the anime show is one of the best seasons of TV I have ever watched; It's THAT good.

Please, what Era where you born into? Clearly the 2008 remastered version of IX is a masterpiece. The Audio and video are absolutely perfect for the Atmosphere.

And Besides, I'm personally very excited for the special edition of Schoolgirl Tentacle Rape Anthology. That looks great!

Besides that My number one favorite would have to be "Ah! My Goddess" (I'm a sucker for romantic comedies)
followed by Code Geass and School Rumble (that right there is hilarity incarnate!)
Also the "Rebuild of Evangelion" is killer (yeah they are still ongoing and all but it's still good)

although once I'm done watching Fate Stay Night It might join the list...

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It tops everything else I've seen. Trigun and Great Teacher Onizuka are sharing the second place.
TTGL is just pure epic. It's a perfect blend of comedy, drama, action, and romance. And really big robots.
Seriously, if you haven't watched it, watch it.

Also: TOUCH THE UNTOUCHABLE, BRAKE THE UNBRAKABLE; ROW ROW FIGHT DA POWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
