I've seen the list and I see no Aria.
Why do you no have Aria on there? Go watch it!

It's an anime about a girl on Mars!

Thats the only context I'll provide....teehee.

I'll keep my suggestions to series that haven't been mentioned already:

The Guyver
Great Teacher Onizuka
DOGS: Bullets & Carnage
History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi
Noein
Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou
Detroit Metal City (also if you're not into metal)
Cowboy BeBop: Stairway to Heaven
Blood: the Last Vampire (the original, not the live-action movie)
Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail (currently airing in Japan)
Jin-Roh: the Wolf Brigade
Storm Rider: Clash of Evil (Chinese attempt into animation, fairly decent)

Have fun with it!

Seconding this SO HARD. I know you've gotten a lot of replies and won't even check out half of them, but seriously.

I watched it a few weeks ago and it's just the perfect mixture of everything. It's got action, romance, high-school setting, drama, deep characterizations, and even a lot of off-beat humor.

It's about some kids who go to a high school if they die with an unfair life. It's all about fighting against God and terrible things that happen in life, but learning to find happiness and move forward. Not as emo-tastic as it sounds.

Also seconding Hetalia Axis Powers if you want a really quick, funny anime. You'll never look at world events the same way again...

you watched ALL of DBZ but didn't get all the way through death note? ._. that's a shame.
Well,
after L dies, the series just became really dull plus Goku never became a douche, which I understand that how Light was suppose to come off for the ending.

I actually have Cromartie High school, it was really awesome. I vastly enjoy that sort of humor.

Thank you sir, thank you! I'm very intrigued, what is Cowboy Bebop: Stairway to Heaven though? I couldn't find much with a search. I'm indebted for you exposing a Black Lagoon spinoff to me. :D

I watched a few Youtube previews of the two, they look really interesting, and I actually plan on checking all the replies out, I might not watch the whole series of all them but I do intend to at least watch a couple episodes of each and I thank everyone thus far for their recommendations.

Look up Hajime no Ippo.

If you want the English version loook up The Fighting Spirit.

It's a boxing anime but it is probably one of the best anime's I've ever watched. I LOVE IT!

How someone mention "Dragon Ball Z" Without watching Dragon Ball is beyond me. Dragon Ball is one series. Sure, they have a different name but they're still the same series. In Japan it was called Dragon Ball all the way through. Toei wanted to name it something else so Toriyama thought up Z. Also don't tell me that Dragon Ball is full of poop jokes and humor. Go watch the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, Piccolo Daimao, and 23rd Tenakaichi Budokai arcs and you'll see that Dragon Ball is really good. Oh, and Red Ribbon arc. So, add Dragon Ball to that list just because it proves people wrong that it's only humor since I know that's the reason it wasn't recommended.
P.S. No, I'm not mad since I know I'm going to get a comment about that. I was just proving a point.

Actually, that'd be my fault, I generically call the whole series (Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT) Dragonball Z which I've seen all, I really shouldn't call it off one series but it was just much easier to type.

How come you didn't finish Death Note?
L died, it really just killed the series for me, his replacements were just too dull for me to care any further.

Man, what is it with fans of anime fans being so indecisive? Seriously, think about it. There's almost never any topics for recommendations for anything other then anime. What's wrong with just finding some yourself?

Well maybe they are a bit young and don't know where to go. Or some of them just want to get other peoples' opinion on their taste of anime. I am not sure as well. But if you can lend a hand; then just do it.

P.S.- Some other ones I forgot to mention:
Air Master
Golgo 13
Area 88
Cat Shit One
Heroman (haven't seen it yet but it's got good reviews)
Princess Jellyfish
Level E
and one of the funniest anime I have seen in a while, Ramen Fighter Miki.

I don't blame you for not finishing Death Note. Indeed, after I finished the first half, it took me about a year to eventually go back and finish the whole thing.

I agree that the second half of the series is a bit weaker than the first, but the last 5 episodes or so REALLY crank up the mindfuckery to about 11 (especially the final 2), so it may be worth your time to go back and finish it.

No Case Closed or Paranoia Agent?! Both are really good!
Hmm, paranoia agent...that sounds really familiar. Is that the one about the
the homicidal kid on skates with the gold baseball bat?
I've seen part of Case Closed when it was on Adult Swim with Yu Yu Hakusho, it was very good, I should try to go finish it or just rewatch it since it's been so long.
yup thats Paranoia Agent! Very good but odd show!

Sorry, made a mistake, it's not Stairway to Heaven, but Knocking on Heavens Door. It's the Cowboy BeBop movie, look it up on www.anidb.net. And Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail is not a spinoff, but a new story about the Lagoon Company (Rock in particular) with our all-time favorite maid coming back even harder than before.
