Make a "least favourite anime" thread here. You'll see.

I haven't watched any good anime lately. What are you into at the moment?
I haven't really either. At least, nothing that's new but I'm going back and watching older anime films and series that I never did see when they came out before.

Things like Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Higurashi and FLCL

Other than that, nothing really new but stuff that's new to me. I honestly read more manga than watch anime.

I've never actually seen Hellsing ultimate.

Really seems like my kind of anime, I should look into it.

Another anime I've yet to see.
Or any Hellsing series for that matter, though I've heard Ultimate is supposed to be better than the original.
Let me know how it is so I can add it to my growing list of anime to watch ^_^

Looking at what you like, definitely Ergo Proxy. I fucking loved that anime, it's dramatic, epic, mindfuck at times, brilliantly set, etc, etc. I'd highly recommend Higurashi too, that was my first anime. If you're not into something so dark, well, whatever. Ergo Proxy's my main recommendation.
Oh, and if you watch the first episode and don't like it, skip to the eleventh and watch that. You'll be confused as fuck ^^

Higurashi definitely. Grey's facination with it made me pick it up and... *shudder*

Also, look up Welcome to the NHK. It is rather brilliant. Also, Angel Beats and (maybe) Fate/Stay Night.
I second this.
Everyone who reads this, watch Welcome to The NHK, probably the best anime you'll find.

I'd recommend Baccano.
It has a diverse cast of very unique personalities and is one of my all time favorites.

I second this. It's a damn good anime, despite the confusing point of views.

I recommend... Black Butler.

Seriously. It's damn fun to watch and you'll not be disappointed by it.

Hmmm... Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop - dramatic ones.
Something dark....hmmm... Death Note, Ergo Proxy, Ghost in the Shell (although here you have the series, the movies, so might wanna look it up first a little bit), Serial Experiments: Lain.

This is pretty much what comes to mind for now. If i remember anything else, i'll edit. ^_^

Anyway, i was surprised to see that only one person that has answered up until now has suggested Cowboy Bebop. The entire anime is a masterpiece, but the ending is truly stunning.

Hope this is helpful and enjoy!

Did nobody enjoy xxx-holic? I liked it. And Tsubasa reservoir chronicles.
I think Death note (at least the first 25 episodes) is my favourite though.

Are you only talking about series? Because the great Ghibli stuff deserves a notion too I guess...

Wow... -_- I'd have never have guessed! ;p

Yumekui Merry - I think I've already mentioned that, but it's getting interesting (think Inception-lite with dream-demons)
And Bamboo Blade, because I've watched it twice in the past two weeks and still love it (keep meaning to see who this Eiga Naoki is...)

For films watch the Sky Crawlers, and dig all the analogies with the modern anime industry, it's depressing...

No One Piece on the front page? I'm shocked

Anywho, One Piece is the best I've seen so far, and it's even able to take the most serious situations, to you holding your sides because they hurt so much :D

I very highly recommend needless, it's good, but it might just be a tad cliche'd, but it's also pretty original at the same time. The main character is a priest that carries a grenade in his bible, and well... Anything after that might be a bit of a spoiler. Needless is full of action, the story is decent and I'd just generally recommend it.

Other than that.... Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. The greatest thing I've ever witnessed.

Or, Y'know, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Or Higurashi, I fuggen love both of those and they're pretty good. Or School Days, or Jing King of bandits.

Cowboy bebop. How the fuck am I the first person to say this.
I can't recommend Cowboy Bebop. Telling you the reasons why I love it would spoil the show.

My favorites:
Cowboy Bebop
Evangelion
Full Metal Alchemist (original and Brotherhood)
Big O

Ive never been a big fan of anime, in general. These are what have been filtered out and what remained to be ones I liked.
