I'm searching for a decent Anime that would have a lasting effect and is re-watchable, Note I've already/am watching Hellsing Ultimate/Series, Fairy Tail, Naruto and Bleach. I've tried to watch FMA but it somehow doesn't stick.

Since I brought it up in another thread recently I'll recommend one of my favorite anime, Outlaw Star. Here's one of the ads that both explained and sold me on it back in the day.

If you want something darker and more serious, go with the recent Berserk movies. If you want something more comedic, try Slayers.

PS- Also, Gundam 08th MS Team, Vampire Hunter D (the sequel is ok to, but I much prefer the original) and Blue Submarine No. 6. I would mention Hellsing Ultimate but you're already watching it.

Most recently i've been watching and rewatching the masterpiece that is Kill la Kill which I highly recommend. The two people behind Gurren Lagann only went and did it again. They started a series that's a parody of a certain genre, in this case the magical girl anime and by the end it's now the best entry within that genre. Unless you're a big fan of Madoka Magica which is the polar opposite. One is about as kickass it is to be a magical girl the other one is how fucking AWFUL being a magical girl actually is. I recommend Madoka Magica as well.

Basically, like Gurren Lagann the overarching rule of the universe in Kill la Kill is totally insane. Super powered uniforms rule all and the best ones are the ones with the least fabric because of reasons explained later on. Unlike most other magical girl stuff it seems self aware of how skimpy the clothing actually is and the main character isn't too pleased with it, at least until she gets over it relatively quickly.

"I'm not wearing this because I want to alright?!"

It's a really well made character driven story and fucking Satsuki is the best antagonist i've seen for a good while now. She's so commanding she naturally generates a blinding light from above just for extra points for looking down on people. Which is what she does for 90% of her screen time in the first half.

I'll suggest one that hasn't been mentioned yet

Shiki.

It's a really fucking good old school style vampire series. It has one of the best endings I've seen in any entertainment medium.

Also if you consider yourself a Shounen fan then you absolutely have to watch Hunter x Hunter.

Right now, my absolute favorite anime is Fate/Zero. I don't say that lightly, as I really dislike picking favorites, but Fate/Zero is really one of the best series I've ever seen in all respects. Character, music, plot, animation, etc... They're all amazing.

Besides that, Berserk, FLCL, Gankutsuou, Kino's Journey and Mushishi are right up there with it.

Have you seen or read the original visual novel Fate/Stay Night?

Out of all the anime/manga that I've read or seen (which is a small sample mind you) Fate/Stay Night was to me a master class of using shift in tone for pacing, a mystery that reveals more questions with each revelation, and an interesting story with a strong idea to support while using the 'adventure book' style of story interaction.

Fate/Zero is neat and all, though I have a few quibbles, I like it.

My favourite anime, huh... Series or movie? Heck, I'll give you both =P

My favourite, or at least one of my favourite, anime films is Tokyo Godfathers. Hilarious, poignant, beautiful. About three homeless people - a teenage runaway, a middle-aged drunk, and a transexual - find an abandoned baby amongst the trash at Christmas; hilarity ensues.

My favourite TV series is Lovely Complex. A rom-com about a very tall girl and a very short boy in High School who become friends. I will freely admit though that the reason I love it so much is probably because they all speak in the Osaka dialect which I LOVE, instead of the standard Tokyo one.

However considering the list of what you've already watched I doubt Lovely Complex is really your thing. You might still enjoy Tokyo Godfathers.

I haven't actually, though I have been meaning to. Same with the anime, though I have been debating waiting for the remake on that. I only watched Fate/Zero a few months ago.

Spice & Wolf, Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop for TV.
Steamboy for movies.

I highly recommend the english dubs for these, they were impeccably done.

Here's the first episodes and trailer, if you're interested.

As far as general recommendations, I'd say these are worth a look:

Attack on Titan
Last Exile
Outlaw Star
Ghost in The Shell
Planetes
Gunsmith Cats

Big O, its not very anime but if you're into some noir esque settings a mixture of blues and camp sci-fi soundtrack and giant robots look no further.
Panty and Stocking, again not very anime. It's what you'd get if you asked a Japanese studio to produce an episodic series for adult swim, very crude idiot savant type humor and a soundtrack full ofthe catchiest ear worms
Eureka seven, it takes all the cliches and tired played out tropes that I usually hate in animes and does everything in the best way possible. It has a gorgeous color pallet, bright pink explosions y'all, believable cast of characters with interesting development, fantastic orchestral and techno soundtrack, and a simple but often missing theme from most srs animes, love.

Those would have to be my top three with eureka seven being my all time favorite and proof that you can take any concept and make something amazing out of it. (Get on my level of standard kill la kill)

Durarara!! I'm not that into anime, but Durarara!! blew me away the first time I watched it (which was four years ago), and then it blew me away even more thoroughly the second time I watched it (a month ago). Only thing about it is that it's almost impossible to recommend, because I cannot talk about why it's so good without spoiling. Also: last month they announced a second season (after four years of waiting), so if there ever was a time to watch Durarara!!, it's now.

I have a three way tie, I really can't decide between the three. Haganai, Highschool DxD, and Sword Art Online. I'm a pretty big fan of all of them. I squeed when I learned that each girl I wanted to win, won.

My recommendations would have to be;

Code Geass
Baka and Test
Angel Beats
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
Is this a Zombie?

That's all I can recommend as good.
