Let me think, I would have to say Death Note's second half, they killed off L and had one too many death notes floating around to effectively keep track of.

(Bo-bo-bo and FLCL are supposed to get the WTFH reaction out of you)

Elfen Lied's first episode. That show... no, that episode alone will put hair on your chest and make you think about what you are doing in life.
How about the entirety of the series?
The series was good, BUT it ended on a cliffhanger. The anime continued even after the series and got weird, like all anime will. You should watch the show if you haven't and finish it. YOu will not be dissapointed.

I did. In fact, I reached for the brain bleach more often in that series then I have in any other that I've seen thus far.

After watching that-
I take a potato chip---and I eat it!

TW-The first couple episodes of Gurren Laggen are funny WTF. There is a short anime film that came out a few years ago in english called Cat Soup. It is all sorts of WTF.

Because Naruto is good for just sitting around watching mindless action. And when its not doing fillers the action is pretty damn good.
But honestly dude, Gankutsuou, Lain, Evangelion! Sorry, I am gonna have to take your kneecaps for daring to call those GOOD. Hell even Bebop is merely "okay" but Lain literally put me to sleep and Evangelion is a prime example of everything anime should avoid.
While not wanting to start another discussion about Evangelion. I do want to point out that anime industry today could learn a lot from Evangelion instead of avoiding it. First of all it has an original story instead of an adaptation. It uses characters to drive the story even if all the characters are f*cked up in the head (which is actually the director's intention), instead of having characters merely do whatever the story deem fit at the moment. The characters in it all have depth instead of shallow cliche anime character type designed solely to attract specific group. And last of all it's designed by a man with a vision instead of a committee that just want to make a product sell.
Thanking you! This thread must be just about exhausted by now, but I'll add another 2c anyway. Evangelion is a mess, granted, but as stated by this fellow, it's a highly interesting mess- with actual character development and an interesting plot. I'm can't help but chuckle at Khitten's banning, and can't help fantasizing that it was for his bad taste. Lain put him to sleep, obviously no appreciation for a unique cyberpunk/psychological story and setting. Cowboy Bebop was okay?! That series is arguably the pinnacle of anime. A sci-fi western with a very noir style, that knows how to portray melancholy and tragedy with poignancy, yet is able to balance this with moments of humour and parody. There is no excuse, the series is nothing but 'suave' and 'stylish' in its narrative. Watch Cowboy Bebop and appreciate it. And again, follow that with something by Mahiro Maeda, Last Exile or Gankutsuou. Is Bleach, Naruto, Dragonball Z, all we're really after? Is dumb action all we really want as an audience. Time to evolve please people.

Thank you.

That High School of The Dead show. It is a really good show, but it is so ridiculously over sexualized that it is hard to take seriously.

I invented a drinking game of everytime you see a thong or bra slip you take a drink. You will be hammered within the first five minutes of each show.

Endless eight: I never thought Haruhi was so special, and these episodes made me drop the anime for good. Azumanga Daioh is also full of WTF moments, but in this case in a good way, because thats just the way their humor works.

I was watching Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu, and when they use the Kirumin, once they come out of it (Detransform) they apparently come out naked the first few times. This wasn't was made me go WTF; it was when the guy came out of Kirumin and there were three girls in the room. Wait, no, that made me laugh WHILE saying WTF.

And Rosario+Vampire constantly makes me gape at the screen in wonder.

I have never watched this series, as its basic premise is far too ridiculous for my willing suspension of disbelief to accept, but so far as I know this happens every episode, multiple times.
Oh.. my god.. That just made me laugh so much I think I woke my house up.

I stopped watching after "monster boobies"...

Basically 'fan-service', in my opinion.
More so when it's paedo-phillic (spell check?).

Since GANTZ was my first anime, I tend not to get serious WTF moments ... except when I saw:

Yesterday I had this WTF moment with Cowboy Bebop.

Faye is watching that tape about her past, when all of a sudden Ed pops up still half asleep. For some odd reason Faye...kisses her? Gives her CPR? No freakin' idea whát she does, but it's....weird.
