As cynical as this sounds, I'm pretty sure this will get vetoed, not because it's a horrible infringement on personal freedoms, not because Obama's a good president, but because it's an election year.
Pretty much everyone I work with was talking about this the day after it passed the senate. People know about it, even though our news stations are keeping it pretty quiet (thanks guys). Obama's not going to sign it, because doing so will severely hurt his chances in the election. Part of me even wonders if this whole mess isn't a ploy to boost Obama's popularity when he veto's it.
