I'm the guy who picks them up. People like you are my beer fund.

On Topic: I don't go out to do good deeds, but if I can do one while I'm out and about I do.

I'm a prick to people with one philosophy: If you're ever offended or hurt by something that I say to you, then you need to harden up a bit. I'm not the cruelest person in the world.

Also, no matter what service is being performed for me, I always make sure to smile and thank them for the job they're doing, because I work at a pretty thankless job and getting thanked always brightens up my day quite a bit.
That coin thing is beautiful, really, thats such a great way of making someone random feel alittle happier, cos i for one, love it when i find a coin on the floor

But for the record, If i was "Doing it to make myself feel better" don't you think i would wait around for the person im talking to to thank me, to level up my ego?

Deep down you know there will be someone who will react the same way I did. Thus knocking you down a peg for a few seconds.

I know that now, honestly,i never expected anyone to react the way you did.. but i dont want to argue over the Internet,i find it rather pathetic,so truce?

Christ, what an asshole move.

"I don't want to talk to you, but would like to remind you that I'm better than you are."
Unfortunatly, the world is mostly populated by pricks, case in point.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe that person just wanted to talk to someone?

Of course not, you're too busy trying to make yourself feel better. Fuck other people.
Dude, it's Omegle. They can get what they want with the click of a button.

I usually pick up litter and stuff that's beside the road. Mostly because it iritates me that people can't just throw it away or recycle it properly.

I do these kind of things all the time. You see, I'm one of those people that the world would need when I'm gone, but isn't needed when I'm here, so I have to do many a good deed without so much as a thank you.

I've done a few good things in my time, but nothing spectacular, so I wanted to share something that someone did for me the other day.

I was on this backpacking trip, tired, hungry and lost in the middle of London, so my boyfriend and I stopped in this little pub and had a meal. All very lovely.

We're about to leave when he goes to the bathroom, comes back and asks me to follow him. It turned out, right next to the bathroom was a staircase down to an underground Jazz bar, with a jazz sextet jamming down there, and damn do they sound great. Having just spent our money on food though, we're too broke to get in.

We turn around to leave when down the stairs tottered this old man, who smiles and asks us if we like what we hear. Yes, we say, but we can't afford to go in and see it, so we're going to be on our way.

To which the man whips out some money, pays for us to get in and says, enjoy, disappearing off into the crowd, and we never saw him again.

It was seriously one of the most awesome things that has ever happened to me, and all because of an anonymous act of kindness.

That's amazing. Lovely story :)

Sort of related to that: my mom was at the grocery store a while ago, waiting in line. There was an older man in front of her, he had a few things on the counter. When everything went through, he realized he didn't have enough money for what he needed. One by one, he rationalized putting things back. My mom was watching him count his money, the very little he had, and take things off the counter to be put back. She offered to pay what he couldn't. He insisted that she shouldn't, but she did. He got all the groceries he needed. She said he was so happy and grateful, he looked like he was going to cry. I love when good people find each other in life and help each other out.

OT: I open and hold doors for people, I'll give them directions or something if I overhear them mentioning they don't know where they are, what bus to take, or what stop of get off at... that sort of thing. *shrug* I'll also give money to seemingly homeless people, if they ask, providing I can afford it myself, i.e. not needing it for bus fare or something.

Oh, and my [ex] boyfriend and I went to get ice cream a couple weeks ago, and there was a little kid at the arcade games, shooting at a screen, no credits. He was just shooting, probably wishing he had a quarter. The whole thing reeked of futility, and I felt sorry for him, so I asked my boyfriend if he had any quarters, and gave them to the kid. I know he was probably fine with what he was doing, but he probably felt even better when he actually got to play.

my history teacher requires anonymous good deeds over every single vacation and then he shares the anonymous good deeds with the class. My favorite(not my own deed) simply said: "I slayed a dragon." My favorite deed that I did: raked my neighbors lawn while they were out and did so while wearing a ski mask to maintain my stealth.

I don't really have something I consistently do over and over, but if I see someone who looks like they need help, or are struggling with something, I'll stop and ask if I can help them.

When my beloved pet cat died I found myself wandering into the pet food aisle in my local supermarket by habit. It was pretty painful and I sort of dealt with that pain by buying cans of food and then donating it to my local pet charity that fosters pets until they get new homes. I still do it today, it is kind of comforting and I know it does some good.

I help make young children's school lives easier and more interesting by helping them with homework.

No, seriously. I go to a school where doing that gets you extra marks, but now that I've maxed out, I keep doing it. It may not be exactly "anonymous", but only me and the kid know about it, and they don't feel the need to tell other people.

Cue pedobear jokes in 3... 2... 1...

We don't all do it,but the world would be a better place if we all did, but i ask those of you who do, what is your anonymous good deed,in other words,is there something you do,no one knows you do it, but it helps someone some way, like giving to charity for example

Personally, i sometimes go on omegle, join chats and paste something like this: "I dont want to have a conversation, i just wanted to stop by and say i hope you have a lovely day and remind you world isn't completely full of pricks :D"

Whats your's?

*Edit* I cant believe i even have to say this, what i said up there is never exactly what i say,its usually alot less formal, but if i change it now then the trolls will bite my foot off.
I don't go out of my way for anonymous deeds, any good deeds I do are generally spontaneous as I don't care much otherwise, however I generally only commit to these deeds if its people I won't have to see for long. I hate that awkward gratitude where you (or me atleast) aren't really sure how you should react.

Giving seats on trains/buses to elderly people isn't a biggy, but considering noone else does it here I consider it worthwhile. Everything else depends really, I can't say I do em daily, nor that they're particularly huge but most of em are just common courtesy's that people have forgotten somehow.

I edited an entire novel for a girl I don't know. And then my friend got the credit for it. And then I failed French because I didn't have enough time to finish doing my work.

...

Fuck doing good deeds.
