2. Pandemic means how widespread it is, not how deadly or anything.

Its the same flu virus they are talking about! H1N1 is the swine flu, so its not new and it was declared a pandemic by the WHO about 3weeks ago

Flu is a virus not a bacteria. Virus are much harder to treat; immunisation works well but the anti-retroviral treatments available only work on a small fraction of the viruses out there

Yeah? Normal flu has killed people. If you're relatively healthy, you will recover from swine flu no problem. It's not even any more dangerous than, say, stomach flu.
