I got 2.

What has a head,a tail, is brown, and has no legs?

Each morning I appear
To lie at your feet,
All day I will follow
No matter how fast you run,
Yet I nearly perish
In the midday sun.
(For the first one) A penny?

The second one is your shadow

Yep you are correct on both. Good job.

Time? Assuming yes.

He who makes me doesn't want me.
He who buy me doesn't need me.
He who needs me never sees me.
What am I?
A coffin? (sorry if someone already answered this, but I'm not going to read through 7 pages of posts.)

You've made me a happy man! To be honest I'm surprised you even understood my answer - reading it back it is quite poorly written. Got any more like that? I love logic puzzles, unfortunately I don't know any that aren't already in this thread.
yeah, i know a couple :D i love logical riddles too.

NEXT:
you're in a room with no windows
inside the room there are three swtiches, one of them turns on/off one lightbulb
the lightbulb is outside the room on the oposite side of the door
once you leave the room you cant go in again

all switches are turned off
you cant see the light from inside the room
you cant turn on and off the switches from outside the room

how can you know wich switch turns on/off the lightbulb? :)

Another good one.

What I would do is flip 2 of the switches, then wait 10 minutes and switch one of them off.
You can then go out of the room, if the lightbulb's on you know its the switch you left on. Assuming you could reach the lightbulb you could then feel it to see if it's warm. If it's warm it's the switch you switched off, if it's cold then it's the final switch!

Is this one a like a canal? It's all I can think of.
Actually it's something right in front of you: A keyboard.

Num Lock, Scroll Lock and Caps Lock. And plenty of keys :)

Some keyboards, more commonly the older ones, don't have scroll lock.

=D It's neither! For that one I asked the opinion of a friend who thought up the heat variable. Then it was like a light (*wink wink*) went off in my head and I'd got it, so all credit to my friend for that one. The first one was all me though! Honest!!

alright NEXT then.

you have a scale (the one with the two plates, im not sure if i need to specify that) and nine pearls
one of the pearls is fake and slightly heavier
you must use the scale to figure out wich one is the fake one

you can use the scale only twice
you cant use your hands to weight the pearls.

what would you do?

I figured it out using the scale three times, see if I can re-evaluate...

1. Put four pearls on each side. If they are even then the left over pearl is the fake. If not...
2. Set aside the four pearls from the lighter side. From the four remaining pearls put two on each side.
3. Repeat step two with the two remaining pearls. The heavier one is the fake.

What is the easiest way to throw a ball,
and have it stop, and completely
reverse direction after traveling a short distance?

Throw it uphill

EDIT: DAMN too late, but at least I have the first original response.

I kill gods and the devil too;
No one is safe from me.
From prisoner to demi-god,
I've come a long way.
I use tools in a most ironic way,
destroying, not creating.
Who am I?

This will be hard

One Time When I Was Walking To St. Ives.
I Met A Man With Seven Wives.
Each Wife Had Seven Sacks.
Each Sack Had Seven Cats.
How Many Were Going To St. Ives?
Just you. Nothing was mentioned about them going to St Ives.

A dog is tied up to a 10 metre piece of rope, and yet he is able to eat and drink from food and water that is 15 metres away from him. How is this possible?

But the riddle didn't say they weren't either. You could have just been walking faster than them and passed them (and considering how burdened down they were, that seems like a likely proposition).

10m of rope would mean a 20m diameter...
