Resident Evil fucking 4.

I cannot believe more people haven't mentioned this... probably the best game of that generation along with the Team Ico stuff.

basically any mario game and everything everyone has mentioned..there were so many good games on the gamecube

one i didn't see so far was mario kart double dash though, that is the best mario kart imo by far, the second person in the back opted for awesome co op and lots more strategy and team chemistry, and it was just more fun i think.

otherwise everyone has mentioned some good shit. good times...

Like a lot of people have already said, when playing Gamecube, you can't go wrong with games like Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Wind Waker, Tales of Symphonia, and SSBM. They're all classics from the GC, and all really awesome games.

As for games to avoid? I would suggest staying away from Metroid Prime 2 and Star Fox Adventures. Frankly, you don't want to put yourself through those.
Haha I really liked Star Fox Adventures! Maybe it's because I was only around twelve or thirteen when I played it.

Most people have said what's good so I'd just like to add Tales of Symphonia

I gotta say Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door and Legend of Zelda Wind Waker are two of my favorite games of all time. And if you're into multi-player with friends then Smash Bros Melee is a must.

Plus,
The Pikmin Games
Tales of Symphonia
Super Mario Sunshine

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

I know, "Oh, its from the movies (sort of). It can't be good." Actually, it kicks ass. Old school FF style turn based RPG stuff, albeit VERY linear.

Resident Evil 4 is, as far as I'm concerned, the quintessential gamecube game.

Metroid Prime 2
Super Mario Sunshine
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Mario Kart Double Dash
Any Prince of Persia game
Kirby Air Ride
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Smash Bros. Melee (of course)

Phantasy Star Online anybody? Probably put in 100+ hours on that one back in the day. Tough to find but a good buy.
