K ive been playing WoW on and off since it came out and im looking for a new mmo. ive tried the WAR demo it was good but doesnt run well on my shitty laptop on low. It was good if i was getting 10 fps. I also got GW 2 days ago but i dont really like the pve or the pvp and people say the pvp is the best part.I do like that i can run it at max settings even though i use a shitty laptop. But i do like the price per month. So any1 else got a game i could try ?

Guild Wars is good, less grinding and more skill, especially if you get Nightfall to start with, it's the easiest to reach the level cap in.

Prophecies takes FOREVER to get to lvl 20.

PVP is also really fun, best if you get Factions for that.

Edit: Woops, didn't read most of your post.

Missed that you said you got Guild Wars...

Which version?

Guild Wars is a great game, better graphics and the game (at least in my opinion) is more based on skill. Especially now with WoW's cap being 80 and epics being so easy to come by now.

Pre-BC though I have to say that WoW was the best MMO around.

Some of my friend's say Age of Conan is good but with a 30GB memory space excluding patch's,I would say it is not worth it.I also hear Lord of The Ring's online is a good game.

I don't see the fun in WoW. Play a paladin and you win, yayhowfun. I would say that LOTRO is at least better than wow, and DDO is actually really fun, it's coming out for free pretty soon, I recommend trying that out sometime.

I played the free2play, powered by microtransactions Sword of the New World [http://swordofthenewworld.gamersfirst.com/index.php], a crazy South Korean thing. It's all grind and stupid costumes, but what isn't? And besides, it installs a batch file that THROUGH MAGICAL COMPUTER MAGIC can be unlocked, giving you like 20 hours of fantastic licensed electronica tracks the game uses as battle music.

The music alone is worth the insanely long download, install, and update process. Seriously.

And the game play isn't bad either. It also runs very well on older computers, and still looks good. As good as weird costumes get, anyway.

The MMO genre is the weakest game genre there is right now. My opinion is to wait until something of real quality comes out.

EVE is a genuinely different game, but they could have called it Microsoft Excel online and it would have made as much sense.

Perfect World International. Its a f2p MMO, remarkably well balanced, and gets a fair bit of support even though you don't pay to play. I've got a piece of crap laptop, and it runs beautifully without altering any of the graphics or sound settings, which I had set to high quality when I installed the thing.

DDO is good, and you can play it for no monthly fee soon, I believe. More content if you pay, but still.

EDIT: Also EVE is pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

Been playing this for the past few days... I've never really been able to get into an MMO, but the ones I got the furthest into were Star Wars: Galaxies and City of Heroes / Villains.

I HATED WoW.

I have a sincere fondness for Ragnarok Online. Say what you will about the graphics, but the game's got a solid background in Norse mythology, borrows well from Celtic and Asian folktales, and has a fantastic soundtrack to boot.
