I have a sincere fondness for Ragnarok Online. Say what you will about the graphics, but the game's got a solid background in Norse mythology, borrows well from Celtic and Asian folktales, and has a fantastic soundtrack to boot.
I'm a fan of Ragnarok too, can't wait for 1.

Guild Wars is good, less grinding and more skill, especially if you get Nightfall to start with, it's the easiest to reach the level cap in.

Prophecies takes FOREVER to get to lvl 20.

PVP is also really fun, best if you get Factions for that.

Edit: Woops, didn't read most of your post.

Missed that you said you got Guild Wars...

Which version?
[prophesises yeah it does take forever i got to 7 in one day and to 9 in two

right now, most of them are just wow with a different skin (excluding a few like cox and GW...but i'm not gonna recommend those as i didn't enjoy most of them)

Next thing i will be trying out will be champions online, and star wars TOR after it...those are the only ones that seem to be going for something fun rather than trying to change wow into something else

i think a free good one is maplestory. it's got classes,it mmo, decent trading and monsters. a good game overall. but that's just me.

downside is the graphics suck quite a large amount of ass,but i think it's good.

EVE is good.
Have you tried City of Heroes or City of villains?
Beside that there are quite a few good free online ones like Dungeon Runners and CABAL online.

The Beta for the free version of DDO is currently available and I can say it's a pretty good game from what I've seen so far. Granted, it's helpful if you have previous knowledge of D&D 3rd edition rules (at least from NWN and such)...

AoC is great, but I don't think you'll be able to run it.

There's a free beta for DDO, but the game is kind of meh.

Guild Wars is my favourite game in the world.

I've been playing for 4 years now and I'm still not bored. Grinding is kept to a minimum.

It is however kinda dying off now, I would recommend guild wars 2 whenever it comes out.

Since now I'm on vacation, I started a new MMO which I found vey interesting: Atlantica Online. Good graphics (though I'm not so picky about graphics), actually features a plot (most MMOs don't), has a different gameplay (turn-based AND you have up to 8 mercenaries from different classes, so it is more strategical - check it, I can't really explain) and the game was developed to make people bond. So, in my book, SOLID GAME.

Really, best way to understand it is to take a look at it. BTW, it's F2P (and rather well supported).

Avoid Lord of The Rings Online. Deeds system is awful because you have to kill x number of creatures, or cast x number of spells just to gain many special attributes and abilities. Should have sticked to a tree system like WoW.

Ragnarok online is the only one that's ever kept my interest other than WoW. I've been playing it for about 4 years and it's still tons of fun. It's not free on officials but you can find plenty of official-style private servers to play for free. Granted, it is probably the most obtuse and hardest-to-play mmo ever. You really have to "figure things out" for yourself as it doesn't really tell you what is what...
