Afraid not. That particular prejudice is rife though, unfortunately. Just because someone's fat doesn't make them unclean. We aren't a disease thank you.Ranis said:however obesity is synonymous with smelling like a rat carcass and that just doesn't really sit well with me no matter how healthy the person is

Ugh. I thought we had all seen that research that showed that smokers, alcoholics and the obese cost the health care system less than normal people. Living 7 years longer on average, yet being sick with many of the other forms of illness found in old age makes you more of a drain on the healthcare system Max, it isn't as if people always live perfectly healthy until they die suddenly in their sleep. You will get sick, it will drag on slowly until you die and you will cost more money.MaxTheReaper said:Honestly, obese people should get the same fate as smokers or alcoholics - no health care.
At all.
He is right though. Eating a small meal 6 times a day at roughly 300-400 calories each (a bowl of pasta) is far better than eating 3 meals a day at 700 calories each. It has been proven. The human body is designed for a nomadic lifestyle- "grazing" if you will. As such, our bodies react better to the smaller meals and subsequently burn them off easier due to the less amount, resulting in less weight gained through un-used calories.Ranis said:That just sounds like "snack more"crudus said:Another thing is eat more smaller meals rather than fewer larger meals (speeds up metabolism).
Well instead of eating 3 bowls of ramen in one sitting for the day, eat one bowl ever 3-4 hours and your metabolism will be faster than if you did the former. Eating within 30 minutes of waking also increases metabolism.Ranis said:That just sounds like "snack more"crudus said:Another thing is eat more smaller meals rather than fewer larger meals (speeds up metabolism).
It's your lucky day, they only come in normal!MaxTheReaper said:I will take a chastity belt if you have one in normal, though.
I do love chastity.
Well, if you put on weight, the spikes start digging in. You drop the weight, the pressure of the spikes relieves.MaxTheReaper said:M...motivation for what, exactly?
You aren't paying for the material, you are paying for the brand and the workmanship that went into it.Rotukai said:... its an interesting idea but then obease people will say its against human rights etc why get treated different than thinner people... altho one thing that annoys me is the fact they pay the same amount for clothes as we do... altho there is more material etc
One does not become "insta skinny". There are those who are naturally built and, thanks to genetics, generally have a larger body mass regardless of their health status. I am such a person. I have been big, and probably always will be, this big.ShotgunShaman said:Me and my brother were recently discussing the problem of obesity, and came up with a few clever ideas to help put an end to this "epidemic."
Idea 1: Clothing. Continue to make clothing as normal. But clothes can no longer be made in any size above XL.
Hopefully it would result in: obese people being forced to either lose the weight, walk around naked, or make their own clothes.
Idea 2: At any given gym, such as the YMCA, have exercise bikes hooked up to generators, obese people can get paid for using these bikes for a certain amount of time.
Hopefully it would result in: obese people get a workout, jobs are created in a bad economy, and a lower electric bill. These machines would also be available for home usage, perhaps with similar results.
Thoughts? Ideas of your own?
And this (hopefully) has the search bar seal of approval. In my ten second scan, I didn't see this thread.
