You know, I never really got into 'Red Dwarf'...which is weird for me.

Anyone I talked to tells me 'If You Like Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy' humor, you'll enjoy Red Dwarf.

The greatest thing ever to grace British television is clearly...

(Don't know how to embed stuff sorry :( )

On a more serious note, I love Being Human, but I'm dreading the new version they are making that is coming to the states... :( (BH is worth checking out, believe me)

British comedy as a whole too; shows like Mock the Week and QI are awesome

the first two seasons of robin hood were really good.
You can say that again. I love Errol Flynn's and Disney's robin Hood, but BBC's 2006 series is my new favourite, I think. I'm Aussie, by the way, and you know what that means...

GOODIES! Goody goody yum yummm....

I'm Dutch (or 'from the Netherlands') and a fan of quite a few BBC shows, including the ones OP mentioned. Sadly I don't have BBC Four on my current cable subscription.

I visit the UK semi-regularly to hang out with and meet 'online' friends, at which point I always catch up!

(favourite recent was the mini-series Torchlight, which awesomely enough aired on BBC Two!)

It is an undisputed fact that the BBC is the greatest broadcasting company in the world.
Too much to say, but did anyone catch Sherlock recently?

Perfect example of why I love the BBC.

Top Gear, at least I think it is a BBC show (I get it on the BBC here in Singapore), as well as the stuff on BBC Knowledge.

I would have given better examples. Things such as Blackadder, Monty Python, A bit of Fry and Laurie, Red Dwarf, that sort of thing is a perfect representation of British humour.
You've pretty muched ninja'd everyone with that post. :p

Yes I do enjoy all of the above plus Doctor Who, Fawlty Towers and lets not forget Top Gear. You guys rock when it comes to television. Much better than anything Australia has ever produced... Hey Hey It's Saturday being our only real exception.

Life on Mars

I am actually a little surprised it has not been mentioned yet. I really enjoyed it, and watched all of Ashes to Ashes just for my love of the original program. They have shown both on TV here in Canada, but I am not sure how far they got with Ashes to Ashes. Probably up to series 2 I imagine.

Yes, damn well right I did. Really really good, I enjoyed the movie as well so I had my doubts that a new show could really play against it. Without giving away any spoilers, that actor at the end was simply amazing. Perfect dialog and a wonderful performance, simply fantastic.
