Irish. no guns lolol
Unless you are like a farmer or something. And even then it is really only used for shooting dogs who happen to wander too near to your fields.

So yeah wow Escapists fucking love the shit out of guns.

Nope. We Aussies have outlawed guns because we've got this crazy idea that they're 'dangerous' and that 'accidents happen' and that 'people get hurt.' Crazy, innit?
It's not as if there are stories of tragic deaths and violent shootouts coming from the states every five minutes.

Yes. Too many to count, and the government doesn't know about all of them. Just as long as they know I own some, that's all I feel they should know.

Totally gives a new meaning (or literally meaning) to "prying it out of my cold, dead hands".

No, but I have shot a couple, thanks to cadets stuff at school. Never really found it all that exciting.
Then obviously, you didn't really fire one. I'd take shooting guns over playing video games any day.

Anyway, No.
I have nothing more to add to that other than
I am English.
So I doubt I ever will.
I consider them uncouth and dirty things.
You can much more easily solve a mugging or defend yourself with a scolding cup of tea.
I only have mine as really an expensive hobby. It is just a great stress reliever for me (a little extreme) Though it is really fun to me. Though if I needed one for protection I would rather have it to make sure they would stop coming at me instead of just hurting them for a couple of seconds.
The cup of tea or the gun?

Nope. But I plan to. And I have plenty of reason to want to own one.

Because, generally speaking, I can guarantee that I have more people wanting to kill me than all of you combined.

The sad thing is, I'm not kidding.

[sub][sub]Anyone willing to act as a bodyguard to protect me from those crazy mothers that think I'm a danger to their children? I can pay in coupons...[/sub][/sub]

This sums up my opinion nicely.

While shooting things is fun in games, guns are silly things really.

I have a 9mm Glock, a 22 rifle, and a stainless steel shotgun.

Fair enough if guns are useless for you.

Guns have their purposes though, from the very basic hobbyist, huntsman, or in my case pirate deterrent.

I'd rather spend my money on video games myself, and bullets have gotten pretty stupid expensive.

I wish guns worked as a pirate deterrent for the type of piracy that affects me, if they did I'd carry a light machine gun and a few boxfulls of rounds everywhere I went. As it stands for me, the undeniable fun of deterring pirates doesn't outweigh the inconvenience of potential legal action.

I guess I wouldn't mind a gun, but I can just think of so many other things I'd rather spend money on. I'd rather buy another guitar personally.

well we probably have around 20 guns in our house now. I personally own 8 guns

a .223 bolt action (my favorite because it kills anything...but its not supposed to. its body count is 8 deer, a bore, and a 400 pound blackbear)

a .300 Savage bolt action

a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser

a .22 bolt action

a 10 gauge single shot shotgun

2 20 gauges

and a flintlock Muzzleloader

yes.....i am prepared for any poor bastard who tries to rob our house....or zombie.....or deer......mostly deer.

Just a .22 rifle that I got for Christmas some years back. My parents used to have quite a few, but ended up selling/trading them for various reasons. My brother (USMC) owns an AR-15, AK-47, and a 20 gauge single barrel for actual self-defense purposes. I'm saving up for a shotgun once I turn 18. Not quite sure what kind I want though. For those hating on this topic; have you considered that guns are supremely fun to shoot? And it's not exactly a bad skill to have either.

Nope.

Seeing as they're illegal here, something I'm very glad about.

I'm English, but nevertheless I've shot guns a-plenty. As for own... I do have a number (OK, 3) of sniper rifles (varying models from the 1980 releases from AI).

Anyway, I prefer some elegance to my weapon collection. Consequently, I own swords (mostly Chinese weapons from antiquity) and a few bows (oddly, only the compound has carbon limbs).

I LOVE guns.
People always think it's weird, especially when I go on about what I'd like to own someday (I've got my fire-arm license coming in the mail any day now, and I can't freaking wait), bu I think of it like this: A gear head will go on and on about the types of cars he loves, and why he loves them. A gamer will go on and on about how they love their games, and their favourite platform to play on. So I, as a gun lover, will go on and on about guns I love, the style of action I think is my favourite (Originally bolt, but dang it: Lever action is just so epic), optics to use, calibers, and so on and so forth.

Everyone has hobbies and interests, mine is guns.
I originally got my license to buy guns just for target shooting. Some guys like to goto the golf driving range to hit a bucket of balls. I love going to the shooting range to shoot of a box of bullets. It's just awesome. But I decided to get into hunting to really put on real use to my firearms, and that's been awesome. Only went last season for a day or two, and didn't even use my own shotgun (Can't, license hasn't come yet), but it was an awesome experience. And I didn't even bag anything!

All the stigma and fear mongering about guns needs to stop.
They are a tool, like a saw or shovel. If used incorrectly, foolishly, or maliciously, they are dangerous. Just like a shovel, or power drill, or car. But anything can be used that way. Just like you expect people who are allowed to get behind the wheel of a car to have the proper education and understanding of how it works, and how to keep themselves and others safe, I expect others who handle firearms to understand how it works and how it's properly used in order to keep themselves and others safe.

Which means I'm 100% behind gun ownership by civilians, but only after a required education program, safety course, and background check is completed (That's our system in Canada). What people do with illegal and illegally acquired firearms should have no bearing or weight against those who legally and responsibly purchase and own firearms.

...sorry for the rant. Got a little carried away.
What was the OP about again? Oh yes. Do I own a gun! Not yet, but once my license comes I'll be buying a Mossberg 535 ATS 12 gauge. Slapping a red-dot scope on it and then rushing to sit in front of my calendar and wait until hunting season.

The closest thing to a gun I own, must be a BB-gun.. Never use it anyway.
If I ever had a gun, I would have saved it for the zombie apocalypse :D

I don't own any, but I'd like to shoot some. You know, as a hobby.
For self-defense, I prefer to avoid these situations...otherwise it's the good ol' kick in the nuts.
