Just in reference of your want for SotC, there have been some leaks of Sony doing an HD update of Ico and SotC like they did with the God of War games.

I DID have this problem with Bushido Blade for a long time. And Frontier: Elite II. And One Must Fall: 2097. both of the last two I got as Freeware, although FE2 isn't any more. Cheap though.

Eventually found a copy of Bushido Blade second-hand being sold in a bundle with 3 other games. I sold 2 of them and got my money back.

I still remember seeing second-hand copies of FFVII without manuals selling for more than brand new AAA titles before it got a PSN re-release.

Games I can't get hold of now though?

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I'm waiting until the Team Ico Collection rumours pan out one way or another at the moment. Which is frustrating.

Tried to get original (boxed) copies of: Star Wars: Rebellion (Supremacy in the UK) and Imperium Galactica 2 for years on end, but gave op long ago on that!
Both are RTS games on galactic scale. Normally im not much of a RTS player. The current RTS standard defined by C&C and such is not my thing. But those 2 games...man...

Tomba/Tombi for PS1... It's ridiculously rare and I used to play a demo of it as a kid, it's super expensive on ebay...

I really want "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" for the Gameboy Colour. it is, by far, my favorite Zelda game, and arguably, the best handheld Zelda yet.

I've been having the hardest time finding Silent Hill 2. I know it should theoretically not be hard to find... but I can't see it in stores anywhere!

You people have strange ideas of what constitutes an old game.

I really want to find an old CGA platformer that I can barely remember from my childhood. Thing was weird as. Stranded on an alien world kinda thing.

A lot of ppl seemed to be looking for games that are available on Steam or eBay for under $20 :p

For me I guess Pokemon Emerald, which is cheap on eBay but I lack money right now :\

The idea of a old game differs from person to person depending on age, and what there first console was. Someone who has only had a PS3 or 360 might look at a PS2 game and thing that its the oldest video game ever.

Personally I find any game older then 3 years old because you probably aren't going to find it at Wallmart or EB games unless it was some sort of massive title for it's platform.

Yeah, I've been trying to get my hands on a couple classic PS2 and PS1 games for a while. I can't buy online, and so I've been sifting through bargain bins. Shadow of the Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, Killer7, Okami, and Spyro the Dragon are at the top of my list.

The thing I find funny about this, is that I have a pokemon blue version, but no console to play it on as my GBA hardly works.

Dark Cloud for the PS2, in pal format.

No shops carry it and amazon feels that asking to import it here would be the same as asking for chainsaws and a map with all maternity wards marked.

So I'm not allowed to buy it here, I'm not allowed to buy it in foreign countries, and despite knowing that the game isn't that great I've still wanted it for ages.

I got my copy of SotC at GameStop for less than $15 and they were selling Ico for $40. You might want to look around a bit more because I'm pretty sure that you could get it cheaper elsewhere. And the Ico/SotC Collection might be coming to the PS3 next year so you probably should just wait for that.

I've been wanting to play System Shock 2 and American McGee's Alice, but they're way too expensive for me right now. Hopefully since the sequel to Alice is coming out soon they might re-release the first one for a reasonable price.

Just trying to FIND Crash Bandicoot 1 is nigh impossible. The price that these people are giving me are twice as ridiculous.
If you happen to be in the neighbourhood of Sweden I saw a Crash Bandicoot 1 for $5 at a Gamestop the other day.

OT: Ive been wanting to buy Psychonauts for my xbox for a while, and I always figured if I wait a few more months the price will go down and I can buy it for really cheap.

Turns out I waited to long, they dont sell original xbox games at any store in my area anymore :(
