Not possible unless you have private connections willing to get you there cheaper.

It genuinely (well jokingly, I don't think anyone is actually supposed to follow those directions) recommends kayaking across the Pacific ocean if you choose a start and end location that require crossing it. It used to tell you to swim across the Atlantic ocean.

Well, at least its cheaper than a flight or cruise...

Okay then the figure I gave you about the range of the cost should be about right. That was last year's estimation and it was a trip to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nara. That trip cost about $3500 last year but it's probably more now since air-line prices fluctuate. Basically I'm saying that it'll cost quite a bit of money.

That is about right. The best bet is to be friends with someone living there. I know a couple of people, so I could do the trip for around 1800 bucks, but only because I have a place to crash and a car to drive.

i talked to a friend of mine who is in the army. from what he told me if you can figure out when the army is flying out troops to Japan you can buy ticket for the empty seats for dirt cheap (he implied that it was 150 dollars per person) the only problem being that you then need to figure out when a return flight is going to happen and how long you will be stuck there before you can go home.

He will train them to do their ancestral duty - fight badgers. Don't worry though, he's a pacifist and a member of PETA so no animals will ever be harmed in this training, he's using stuffed badgers and that blasted badger badger badger badger badger badger badger song.

Also, I said it'd be cheap, not fast. It'll take ages, Rusty loves him some pacific picnics.
