As a writer myself I've found there are very few places on the net you can really go to be around other writers and make good discussion- believe me, I've looked. Makes me wonder just how many members of the hobby, casual or otherwise, we have here in the big E.
I take my writing pretty seriously even though I've only had a single minor publication in the past, but mostly just because I love getting into a project. Just started a whole new one today actually and hoping I'll actually be able to stick with it.

SO how about it, do we have any pen jockeys in the Off Topic~?

Having a notoriously short attention span and love of words I've got about three stories on the go. I wish I could commit to one and finish it off but my inspiration just seems to come in random bursts.

I enjoy writing, and people have always told me I'm a good writer, but I've never been able to stick with a project beyond around 15 pages. Typically I'll have an idea, maybe a certain character or setting I want to explore, and I'll write a bit about it, then get bored and move on to my next idea.

Eh, it's a hobby of mine. I've written a few things, or started writing them, never finished any of them... horrible work ethic.

I like writing, not serious though.. Can't really stay focused on it and I have an idea and get a bit angry when I can't get it to work out, take a break, and end up forgetting the project

I'm a writer, at least according to those who read me ;)

I've written near 150 songs (music included), countless poems, and am also working on a novel.

All and all, I spend about 4-5 hours of my day at open office.

Literotica!! I write a bit mainly background stuff for mods or missions I work on, I feel my Arma 2 missions do much better when I write the mission in a third person narrative rather than just making random stuff up as I go.

<url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/2-50-Reviews>I've written one or two user reviews.

No fiction writing though.

I start writing things but almost never finish them, got a few unfinished stories on my laptop now. They tend to be quite dark and linked with music now that I look at them. I've written a few horror and crime stories in the past. of course I've never published anything, only being 15. Wouldn't mind doing it in the future though.

I wrote a series of them for an ex-girlfriend. I can't read them any more without feeling uneasy.
I write them for myself...
Or the fandom whatever.

I have written a pen and paper role playing game, that is currently for sale on line. I haven't been making very much money off of it, but i can't complain.

I have also written a couple of erotic short stories that can be found online. Reviews, have been mixed, but i'm happy considering the genre.

Were they nice and creepy cause if they are I'll take em.
I get the feeling my topic has taken a sudden and frightening turn...

I can honestly say, like most, my work ethic is terrible. I will however force myself to do planning at least when a new idea strikes, often inspired by other stories ... and games actually, a lot of the time. Just finished a few shorts for a local magazine (nothing in my usual genres, world war 2 setting and psychological horror) but after watching the Gamification episode of Extra Creditz they actually gave me an idea for a new story.
So hooray for random inspirations!
