Anybody like military aircraft?

That's so ugly, yet so terrifying and awesome at the same time.

It's like a flying Ogre.

It may not win any prizes for aesthetics, but for shear terror and iconic awesomeness, it's number 1.

Hence why they call it the BUFF. Big Ugly Fat Fucker. It's big, it's loud, it's excessive.
I love it, because it's a pretty good metaphor for 20th Century America.

For aesthetics though, I love the Su-35/37. The angles on it are amazing; It just looks like it's going Mach 2, even when it's parked.

A very close second would be the F-22. I've seen one up close at the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, and I must say, it is one sexy piece of American Engineering.

Then again, I've been very intrigued by the Mid-Life Upgrade they gave the A-10. They've ripped out the entire cockpit, and installed all new 21st Century Avionics, and a lot of under-the-hood upgrades for the A-10C variant. I wonder if the new radar is compatible with the AMRAAM? I think it would be awesome for a Hog to get an Air-to-Air kill. The Eagle drivers would never be able to live it down

For modern day planes I particularly love the A-10, F-15s, F-18s, the B-52, the F35, the Mig-29, Mig-35, and a few other Migs I don't know the numbers of.

WW2 planes, I particularly like B-17s, Hellcats, the SBD Dauntless, and the IL-2 Sturmovik and its variants.

Those are just what I like particularly, I love 'em all.I have like 10 books listing them all again and again and again. In fact, I have an Encyclopedia of Military Aircraft whose title claims to have "Over 650 entries from 1914 to the present day." Pretty nice.

NOTE: I didn't mention planes that I feel everyone has to unconditionally like such as the F22, the P51, and the B2.

My great uncle flew Corsairs for the marines.

Yeah, they're kind of awesome.
