Not really. I don't do anything that would cause me to get pulled over.
When I'm driving, I go five over in 35mph and up zones, and I think I drive safely.
And just walking around, I know I'm fine.
The generally accepted rule is that you can typically go 8 miles over the speed limit without getting pulled over, since cops base how much they fine you for speeding tickets by how much over the speed limit you were going. And at 8 mph over, that usually isn't enough for the officer to care. The obvious exception, of course, is when they are near quota time (where I'm from, that's the third week of every month), in which case, 5 mph over is the safer option.
OT: I used to, but experience eventually taught me what behaviors indicate whether a cop is going to pull me over or not. Especially since everyone in my town (cops included) tend to be notorious tailgaters, so if I've been speeding and the cop behind me is a fair distance away, I know I'm about to see flashing lights and $150 disappear very quickly. If they're on my tail, then I'm in the clear.
