I out of very few LOVED Mafia 2, so safe to say whatever my favorite gaming company pumps out I'll dive into with high expectations.

I think the story sounds appealing, and the setting could be cool, but the gameplay at this point sounds quite poor. I also doubt there will be much replayability or a on overly lengthy campaign, two things that are key to me actually buying a game for full new release price. I'm going to be keeping an eye on it but, right now, it's firmly in the "pick it up from the bargain bin" pile.

Yes, I am interested. Looks amazing. I thought the same about Mafia 2. I still didn't get it, nor will I this one, most likely. Or, at least not within it's first half-year of release date.

It's part of my 'must-buy' list, along with Brink, Dragon Age II, Portal 2, ME2, ESV: S, and blah, blah, blah.

Though I'm interested to see how well I play this sort of game... I will likely miss a lot of clues leaving myself very confused. >.>

I cant wait for this game to hit the shelves! All of the investigation, interrogation and shoot seems nice. And since im a huge fan of the early to middle 20th century this game seems likely to satisfy my gaming taste

I've read in a Dutch preview that if that happens the game will push you in the right direction. I'm cool with that as long as the game will punish you for it too. Can't go around rewarding poor detectives right?

There are also 2 difficulties; Officer and Detective. In Officer you can only pick up items that really have something to do with the crime, in Detective mode you can pick up all kinds of stuff, so you need your brain to figure out what matters.

Oh I like the sound of that. Have to play Detective then. Do you know if Detective makes it harder to interrogate suspects?

Not that I've read, though in a way it does; it's harder to miss evidence, and if you miss evidence you have less leverage in interrogations.

Presumably it would if you have to sort through Red Herrings.

Apparently the suspect's tells can be too easy at times. Hopefully Detective mode will make it harder.

Haven't formed an opinion on it yet. I might get it a while after launch after seeing what other people think of it.

Its made by Rockstar, so at worst it'll be mildly entertaining (GTA 4) and at best totally awesome (RED DEAD, Canis Canem Edit)
