Anyone else think this is disgraceful?

So earlier today when i was at work on my lunch break i was reading the newspaper (The Mirror to be precise) and i was reading this article about a restraunt owner caught two neds trying to break into the restraunts alcohol storeroom, he took them back into his restraunt and phoned the police. While he was wating on the police arriving some of the teenagers mates came and started trying to kick in the restraunt door so he locked it, when the police arrived at the scene all the teenagers started complaining to the police that the man punched and attacked them. The police took their word for it and arrested the restaraunt owner for assault....

I tried to find a link to the article on the internet so you could read it for yourselves but i couldnt find it, not even on the mirrors homepage oddly but anyway what do you all think of this, do you think it is a total disgrace, the law system is so flawed.

Now given that the Mirror and the Mail are not exactly bastions of quality journalism I am a bit tempted to take it all with a pinch of salt.

If we are to believe every word is true (and it could be) then yes, it is disgusting and the pollice fucked up good and proper. I very much doubt that the guy punched them but even if he did, they deserved it for trying to steal his stuff and damage his property.

The scary bit is, of course, that now the little shits have got away with it once they will assume a degree of immunity and do it over and over again.

The police have had their nuts chopped off by loony social workers who don't believe that kids are every really "bad" or "naughty" (believe me I know, my Uncle is a social worker and the stupid rose coloured glasses he has on makes me wonder if he is living in the real world or in the world of the Magic Roundabout. Wanker).

The UK needs to clarify and crystalise the concept of being able to defend yourself and your property without the fucking fuzz slapping you down for it. And listening to the little bastards was a travesty.

They tried to break in and steal and then tried to kick his door in. Sounds to me like they had a bit of a slap coming to them.

Fucking police. I cannot believe that they took the word of teenagers kicking in the door of a restaurant.

"He assaulted us. With his fists."
"Alright then, you seem like some honest, hard-working, not-in-any-way-lying boys. Lock up the owner!"

That is the only conversation that could've led to his arrest.
