If they're in decent condition, you'll get far more from a small dealer or selling them on the internet than you will from Gamestop. Check local flea markets and such.

It depends on how many others traded in the same games, if you have a rewards card, you get an extra 10%, plus you get more for in store credit instead of cash.

It is possible to trade in a relativity new game and get $30 for it, it is also possible to sell a sports game like NHL 2011 a month before 2012 is out and get $20 for it. It all depends on the store you use, and the game in question.

Keep in mind that Gamestop will pay you $20 for your newer game, then get another gazillion copies and eventually put a price of $5 on them, and they never sell. Most sports game are such a loss for Gamestop, since they give you money for them, but never sell the used copy.
Yeah I'm doing the in store credit, I'm just hoping it all works out... in some way, I'm strongly reconsidering Gears of War 3 though, I could make a lot more than what they're going to give to me... While the rest I doubt anyone around my area would be remotely interested. The damn thing is the time scale, if I knew about this sale before my Internet died for a two week period, I would have had sometime to make both deals and be appropriately prepared for Friday... What timing...

Em you present yourself and what you've got and then you bend over and take what they'll give you good or not. Aside from Gamestop fucking you(how do you think they sell so cheap so I am joking with that by the way) the only thing that will get you anything worth talking about is the Gears 3. Everything else is definitely under a tener and I would say under by quite a margin so as Irridium already said if you want to get your moneys worth you are better off waiting for a sale or deal of some description.
Dude, I'm totally afraid because you're right, however I doubt I'm going to find anyone willing to buy my games anytime soon, and I want that Black Friday deal on the Ps3 and I'm like 40$ off right now!
Well if you it that badly and you really do not ever want to play SSBB and Gears 3 again those 2 should cover it maybe one other game. Although for one of the games I doubt DoA 4 would even be worth $5 as I got it for ?5 but preowned prices may be different for different countries.
That's the thing, I found Gears of war 3 atrocious (for my own personal reasons... plus I won it at a competition thing where I used to live... that took me five minutes to win...) and SSBB got so repetitive in under a week, I started on the hardest difficulty on Adventure mode and it took me three days to beat, I was bored of how unchallenging it was and I don't wish for it's existence any longer... Just a tad, and it depends how long ago you traded it in ago?
No I bought it preowned about 6 months ago so depending on the quality of your disc(yes they have to mark down your money on this even sometimes going into negative figures) so it would not be a big return to trade in DoA 4.
Excuse me, but that's wrong. They can NEVER give you negative anything. If they did, go to the store and sue them right now.
They charge a fee if your disk is messed up, but if the "refurbish" causes the game to be less than $1, they won't take your game.
And you can't really blame them for charging a fee, because at least they're taking nasty, scratched disks.

I don't personally trade in games because I love my babies and I don't want to give them away. I do however, know about the process. So if you're going to tell people about the process, tell them the correct things instead of craziness.

A scratched up DoA4 will still get you money, but instead of $4, maybe you'll get $3. As a customer, would you want a nasty, scratched disk?
They just give you nothing for it but technically it is worth negative amount as they do charge you for repairing the disc I never it was wrong to do but don't tell me I'm wrong when I've seen people try to give in games and being told they were worth nothing and that it was technically worth negative money as it would take so much to repair the disc. So no its not wrong but if it was negative they wouldn't be giving you anything they just don't tend to take it. I do remember a post from a user on this site that claimed to work for Gamestop and say exactly the same that I've said.

So how is what I said wrong? The game is technically worth -?2 but I never said you would be getting -?2 did I now?
