I still play it, at least until Homefront comes out, that is.Czaran said:Still, does anyone have any hard points into why either one would be a better game, gameplay wise or in any aspect?
There is still a huge CoD4 community, specifically on the PC version.Josh Beall said:Anyone still play CoD 4 cuz i have not enjoyed any CoD after it
I'm sorry? IED stand for Improvised explosive device. Not sure what that means. If you are talking about to many explosives, Modern Warfare 2 wins that by a mile.RUINER ACTUAL said:Hardpoints (from perspective of playing hardcore):
-killstreaks may stack in a life to another killstreak, but at least there isn't a rolling IED every 15 seconds.
Which made the game pretty much easy mode for everybody. The only "fair" gun was considered to be the F2000.-the weapons in MW2 kill when they're suppose to. Rarley do 4 bullets not kill.
I'll just go ahead and give you that one, never really spent much time on hardcore.Hardcore in Blops is odd, as if only the HUD has been removed and health is the same.
You are almost brushing up on one of the only major problems with Black Ops, which is Ghost.-I can tell, in general, that a ghille suit will have a sniper rifle in MW2.
Still a different boat, that is mostly just preference.-I have to work for that ACOG, I can't just buy it.
It does, and yet again another thing I also agree with you.-MW2 showers me with gifts of titles and emblems for doing well and completing challenges. Does Blops even have challenges? I haven't heard any of my friends online talking about a challenge they're going for, just the contracts they purchase.
Which pretty much was one of the worst things in Call of Duty. Getting headshots for camo. Don't get me wrong, one of my greatest gaming feats was getting the golden Dragunov without even knowing what boosting was, but Boosters in Modern Warfare 2 pretty much destroyed the game. Provided, they did give you a good amount of fun when you crashed their parade, but it was so bad for a point it was eventually you racing to beat them in any free for all.-Headshots matter in MW2. You know, for camos, those things you nonchalantly BUY in Blops.
I wouldn't say worse, it just favors the team that is losing. Demolition has some pretty funky spawns, but it only really matters if you have a team actively trying to spawn trap you.-Black Ops actually made CoD spawning worse...didn't know that was possible.
They fixed the claymore sounds not working within the first three weeks of the game.-MW2 claymores click and explode.
Danger Close noob tubes, Commando knifers, 3 burst weapons and 3 shot UMPS dominating the game, shotguns being able to destroy you from halfway across multiple maps, Stackable killstreaks making the game more about air support than actual gun skill... the list goes on...-Any claim by Treyarch that Blops would be more balanced was an outright LIE.
AUG has exact same stats. The only gun that you would actually choose before any Assault rifle is the 74u, which happens to be rather overpowered.-Assault rifles are useless in Blops, unless it's a FAMAS, which didn't actually exist in the time period of the game...
The M203 made its first appearance during Vietnam in an effort to slowly phase out the "thumper". the M16 version used in the game actually was the version used in Vietnam, surprisingly enough. You can tell by the triangular shaped hand guard.-...neither did the M203, the version of the M16, the AUG, and a host of other weapons. So MW2 knows when it is, except those shotguns, but at least they aren't from the FUTURE.
If I had to be stuck in a room with either Black Ops or Modern Warfare 2, I would much rather choose Black Ops.Now you can more effectively argue MW2s superiority.
Saw this coming. Remember, I said from a "hardcore perspective", so 3 round burst, ump, etc don't really matter. By "rolling IED", I meant the RC car, since it is only 3 kills to get, it comes around quite often. I've heard from from my friends the same, if not more frustration for Blops over MW2. Glad I nailed some of the actual issues though, I only played the game for like 2 hours.Tdc2182 said:I'm sorry? IED stand for Improvised explosive device. Not sure what that means. One game I managed to win by killing 4 or 5 boosters in the lobby repeatedly.I wouldn't say worse, it just favors the team that is losing. I very much like not having to rip out my own eyes from my skull in sheer frustration.
The community support (or lack thereof) is one thing I do not miss about MW2.Tdc2182 said:They fixed the claymore sounds not working within the first three weeks of the game.
This, however, I do miss greatly. Being able to brandish a title or emblem that reflects how I play is one thing IW definitely got right, in a big way. Besides nostalgia for specific weapons, this was the best thing about MW2 in comparison to other CoDs imo.RUINER ACTUAL said:-MW2 showers me with gifts of titles and emblems for doing well and completing challenges. RC car is one of the most annoying things for me when I randomly get killed by it, but it doesn't stack to the enemy's killstreak so it's a minor annoyance most of the time (unless you're on a good one yourself). On the topic of killstreaks, MW2 had stackable ones that allowed you to get a harrier off a pred with little user input and an AC130 off a harrier without any user input. That was one of my main annoyances with MW2.RUINER ACTUAL said:By "rolling IED", I meant the RC car, since it is only 3 kills to get, it comes around quite often.
Out of random curiosity, which platform are you referring to (about hacking)? I haven't been on it in ages, but if it is the PC version I might hop in just to see what its become.Gentleman_Reptile said:Meh, I wasnt a fan of Black Ops at all, so after trying that for about 5 weeks I went back to COD4 only to discover that it was royally hacked up the ass. Traded in all my COD after that, hadnt played MW2 in about 6 months.
On the PS3. I'm not sure about the 360 or PC versions, but I'd be willing to bet that they have a much heightened degree of hacking nowadays as well.Dr. Pepper Unlimited said:Out of random curiosity, which platform are you referring to (about hacking)?
