Got bored of black ops. went back to cod 4. Mw2 is nice but the p2p is a pain esp since it takes forever to join a game and impossible to find a hradcore match.

Still, does anyone have any hard points into why either one would be a better game, gameplay wise or in any aspect?
I still play it, at least until Homefront comes out, that is.

Hardpoints (from perspective of playing hardcore):

-killstreaks may stack in a life to another killstreak, but at least there isn't a rolling IED every 15 seconds.

-the weapons in MW2 kill when they're suppose to. Rarley do 4 bullets not kill. Hardcore in Blops is odd, as if only the HUD has been removed and health is the same.

-I can tell, in general, that a ghille suit will have a sniper rifle in MW2.

-I have to work for that ACOG, I can't just buy it.

-MW2 showers me with gifts of titles and emblems for doing well and completing challenges. Does Blops even have challenges? I haven't heard any of my friends online talking about a challenge they're going for, just the contracts they purchase.

-Headshots matter in MW2. You know, for camos, those things you nonchalantly BUY in Blops. I unlocked the title saying I have 1000 headshots with the Vector. I'm sure Black Ops has an equivalent item for your purchase.

-Black Ops actually made CoD spawning worse...didn't know that was possible.

-MW2 claymores click and explode.

-Any claim by Treyarch that Blops would be more balanced was an outright LIE.

-Assault rifles are useless in Blops, unless it's a FAMAS, which didn't actually exist in the time period of the game...

-...neither did the M203, the version of the M16, the AUG, and a host of other weapons. So MW2 knows when it is, except those shotguns, but at least they aren't from the FUTURE.

Now you can more effectively argue MW2s superiority.

I would, except my disc got permanently scratched up during the last few months before Black Ops.

None of the CoD games have even bothered to try and act like real FPS games, hell there IS NO SUCH THING right now. FPS means First Person Shooter, not Fullroomof Pathetic Snipers or First Person Shotgunsprayer. Battlefield wasn't even an FPS either, it was a vehicle based bomb whoring fest. The amount of bunnyhopping, sniper rushing, frag spamming, noob tubing, sniper stacking, hack filled matches is enough to make me vomit in seconds.

tl;dr Never will play CoD, BF, MoH, AA, Arma2, again.

I'm sorry? IED stand for Improvised explosive device. Not sure what that means. If you are talking about to many explosives, Modern Warfare 2 wins that by a mile.
-the weapons in MW2 kill when they're suppose to. Rarley do 4 bullets not kill.
Which made the game pretty much easy mode for everybody. The only "fair" gun was considered to be the F2000.
Hardcore in Blops is odd, as if only the HUD has been removed and health is the same.
I'll just go ahead and give you that one, never really spent much time on hardcore.
-I can tell, in general, that a ghille suit will have a sniper rifle in MW2.
You are almost brushing up on one of the only major problems with Black Ops, which is Ghost.
-I have to work for that ACOG, I can't just buy it.
Still a different boat, that is mostly just preference.
-MW2 showers me with gifts of titles and emblems for doing well and completing challenges. Does Blops even have challenges? I haven't heard any of my friends online talking about a challenge they're going for, just the contracts they purchase.
It does, and yet again another thing I also agree with you.
-Headshots matter in MW2. You know, for camos, those things you nonchalantly BUY in Blops.
Which pretty much was one of the worst things in Call of Duty. Getting headshots for camo. Don't get me wrong, one of my greatest gaming feats was getting the golden Dragunov without even knowing what boosting was, but Boosters in Modern Warfare 2 pretty much destroyed the game. Provided, they did give you a good amount of fun when you crashed their parade, but it was so bad for a point it was eventually you racing to beat them in any free for all.

One game I managed to win by killing 4 or 5 boosters in the lobby repeatedly.
-Black Ops actually made CoD spawning worse...didn't know that was possible.
I wouldn't say worse, it just favors the team that is losing. Demolition has some pretty funky spawns, but it only really matters if you have a team actively trying to spawn trap you.
-MW2 claymores click and explode.
They fixed the claymore sounds not working within the first three weeks of the game.
-Any claim by Treyarch that Blops would be more balanced was an outright LIE.
Danger Close noob tubes, Commando knifers, 3 burst weapons and 3 shot UMPS dominating the game, shotguns being able to destroy you from halfway across multiple maps, Stackable killstreaks making the game more about air support than actual gun skill... the list goes on...

If there is anything you should be complaining to Treyarch for it sure as hell isn't balance.
-Assault rifles are useless in Blops, unless it's a FAMAS, which didn't actually exist in the time period of the game...
AUG has exact same stats. The only gun that you would actually choose before any Assault rifle is the 74u, which happens to be rather overpowered.
-...neither did the M203, the version of the M16, the AUG, and a host of other weapons. So MW2 knows when it is, except those shotguns, but at least they aren't from the FUTURE.
The M203 made its first appearance during Vietnam in an effort to slowly phase out the "thumper". the M16 version used in the game actually was the version used in Vietnam, surprisingly enough. You can tell by the triangular shaped hand guard.
Now you can more effectively argue MW2s superiority.
If I had to be stuck in a room with either Black Ops or Modern Warfare 2, I would much rather choose Black Ops.

I very much like not having to rip out my own eyes from my skull in sheer frustration.

Saw this coming. Remember, I said from a "hardcore perspective", so 3 round burst, ump, etc don't really matter. By "rolling IED", I meant the RC car, since it is only 3 kills to get, it comes around quite often. I've heard from from my friends the same, if not more frustration for Blops over MW2. Glad I nailed some of the actual issues though, I only played the game for like 2 hours.

I play it on once in a great while, normally when I feel like being a sniper. It's very easy to hide and set up ambushes in that game. Black Ops, not so much. Black Ops does have zombies though, although the next map needs to have more than four trophies for it. Got them all way too quick.

Black Ops is much more balanced but MW2 is much faster paced. I can play Black Ops longer without getting angry so that's why I play it instead of MW2.

The community support (or lack thereof) is one thing I do not miss about MW2.
Took months to patch this:

This, however, I do miss greatly. Being able to brandish a title or emblem that reflects how I play is one thing IW definitely got right, in a big way. Besides nostalgia for specific weapons, this was the best thing about MW2 in comparison to other CoDs imo.

RC car is one of the most annoying things for me when I randomly get killed by it, but it doesn't stack to the enemy's killstreak so it's a minor annoyance most of the time (unless you're on a good one yourself). On the topic of killstreaks, MW2 had stackable ones that allowed you to get a harrier off a pred with little user input and an AC130 off a harrier without any user input. That was one of my main annoyances with MW2.

My friends and I still jump into MW2 on occasion, but we are often plaqued by people with mods and cheats of some sort or another. One game I jumped into had me start off as 0-3 with the person at the top of the opposing team getting automatic credit for the kills. Another game when I watched my killcam and saw I was shot by a UMP from 30 feet in the air, I put Black Ops back in.
As for "better", its a matter of personal taste. MW2 I find much smoother on the network, I think Treyarch over-reached on the details of the network play, but Black Ops has its good days, and more stylized graphics in my opinion.

I played split-screen with some friends a few days ago. It was pretty fun. We hadn't really played it much since Black Ops came out. I usually stick to CoD4 on the PC for my go to, though. CoD1 has crap servers now. At least I can use an MP-44 in 4, and the M14 is sort of like the M1. I only have WaW on console, and I find online on the console to be meh.

Meh, I wasnt a fan of Black Ops at all, so after trying that for about 5 weeks I went back to COD4 only to discover that it was royally hacked up the ass. Traded in all my COD after that, hadnt played MW2 in about 6 months.
Out of random curiosity, which platform are you referring to (about hacking)? I haven't been on it in ages, but if it is the PC version I might hop in just to see what its become.

On the PS3. I'm not sure about the 360 or PC versions, but I'd be willing to bet that they have a much heightened degree of hacking nowadays as well.

I do quite enjoy MW2 whenever i can get into a game that doesn't have someone headshotting me through walls. Black ops feels quite different from it in terms of how the sounds and guns feel. Plus riot shield... too fun. If only the game had dedies.... (pc player here, can ya tell? xP)

Blackops is better because of some new features like betting and stuff like that. But im not a fan of any call of duty I think those games are pretty expensive for the offer they make every year, If you are having fun with mw2 well keep playing

Yes, I do, in fact I just got back from playing it, though I was raging half the time at the lag and stupidity of my teammates.

I honestly believe it is a better game because it isn't OVERNERFED, but it is broken, and broken can be fun. Something that is nerfed the shit out of? Not very fun at all. I find MW2 to be the better game as it's countless times more addictive even months after quitting it. Black Ops has failed horribly at keeping me hooked and I stopped playing online altogether at Prestige 2.

So, what do we have here? A balanced, yet too much so and unfun multiplayer, or a fun, addicting, yet broken multiplayer? I choose the broken multiplayer, see as I like to have fun with the games I play, and despite my raging half the time while playing it and it still being littered with MLC Tacknifers, Quick Scopers, and OMA/DC'ers, I STILL find it fun and addicting.

I do but I would rank the cod's I have played like this.
1. Cod 4
2. Cod Waw
3. MW2
4. Black Ops
They always seem to make the wrong turns.
