Anyone still read VGCats?

I read this page during an extremely long and coma inducing lecture in college once.

http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=164

I laughed so hard I cried and was thrown out of class.

But how far VG has fallen since then. It doesn't seem as funny and a new page is released, maybe, once a month. I don't know is Scott is just too busy to do the comic anymore or if he's just coasting on his established popularity at this point.

Another webcomic that has fallen quite far in my book is Ctl Alt Delete. The infamous miscarriage story arc took the slap stick comedy the series once had an yanked it painfully and abruptly in a more drama driven comic that I still read only out of habit and fondness for the hilarity that it once was.

I enjoy the ones that come every now and then, that fellow knows how to tickle my funny bone. And of course this one just brings a smile to my face for being so cute:

Edit: Just went back to the site and found a strip that is a fucking masterpiece!

I read them every now and then together with Penny Arcade, they both still have their moments. I agree with you about CtrlAltDel though, they really Jumped The Shark.

Like this one made me lol hard:

I still have it bookmarked in my RSS feed, yeah.
The power of RSS allowed me to stop regularly checking VG cats for updates.
Today, I am a free man.

I'll start reading again in another few months or so. If I'm lucky, there might be 2 or 3 updates by then.

God, I wish I was kidding.

I still like to check in on VG Cats from time to time. Scott doesn't post often anymore "updated once in a blue moon" but when he does it makes me laugh.

A lot of the artists who have had comics going for a while but never made them a professional gig ie AppleGeeks or Alien Loves Predator have had to greatly reduce updates or stop all together as the need for income becomes more apparent. But for a free service I won't complain. I love the ones that make me laugh and miss them when its their time to go.

I still check up every week or so, sometimes there's something new or I find one I don't remember reading. Like this one.
I lol'd.

I used to but damn it took forever for a new comic, so I kind of quit.

I'll probably check it out again some other time.

Check it every few days. To be honest, I discovered VG cats sometime last year, so I read all the comics in one or two sittings, so I never got used to regular updates anyway. I'm more sad that 8-bit Theater has finished.

All the main webcomics I read are in the links page on VGCats, so I bookmarked the links page.

Occasionally, when I can be bothered. There seem to be quite a few once-great webcomics that are slowly dying at the moment. I guess it's hard to continuously come up with new ideas. Some of them just stop updating, and some of them keep to a schedule but don't have much to say. So it goes.

Yeah, I'll check it every now and again for updates, when I do my bi-weekly or so webcomic runthrough. Though he only ever updates about once a month or so anymore, so sometimes I don't even check at that time.

Though have you seen the latest one? I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it with the level of Valve fandom here.

I used to, but now I don't bother because the chance of actually seeing something new is so slim.

i love VGCats, but i don't check it unless i see it referenced somewhere. he updates FAR less frequently than once a month. i didn't read the strip for over a year, and i checked it a couple weeks ago. there were 2, count them, TWO new strips since i read it last. good stuff, but i can't be checking a site that's updated twice a year.

I still read it and look for updates. I like Super Effective more than VG Cats and Looking for Group was hilarious for those 7 comics.

Yeah, I occasionally go back and read that last, huge comic they had for the nostalgia. I was reading 8-Bit Theater since it was about in the 500s. Naturally I was saddened.

No, I went off of it when I read this:
http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=280

Also the fact they make jokes that have been told before...and were actually funny before they decided to attempt it.
