Total agreeent here. A lot of people saw the whole "big guy versus little guy" affair while I actually saw the real thing. In that James was pandering to peoples emotions and making himself seem like the injured party while the Escapist basically said "This is how it is" and actually sat down and listed every single thing they did with dates, while James avoided it. So no, I dont want to support someone like that where they purposefully avoid telling the details after going PUBLIC about the whole thing, which the escapist quietly said was something they should not of done.Kapol said:That's another reason for me. While it seems like the majority jumped on their side, I feel it was 50/50, if not tiny bit more Jame's fault for making things unclear in the first place. Not only that, but how he took care of the situation also bothered me. I don't blame Allison or Daniel as much as they seemed to be mostly on the side-lines while James took control. But since James is the one writing the episodes, that did effect my desire to actively seek them out again.Caramel Frappe said:I used to watch them here. I really admired everything they said, word from word. However, they broke their morals when it came down to the issue with The Escapist. I thought they'd handle it much better, resolve the conflict and get back running episodes on here.
Nope.
They left... just like that. Sure, it was both parties fault.. yet I can't get over James getting lawyers first thing before even talking this out. Along those lines, I even gave them a shot on Youtube. It's not the same, so I stopped watching them. Yea, you can quote me and defend Extra Credits if you'd like but just know I felt betrayed personally. Just me though, and I know they needed money but just the way they handled that situation... it sort of reflects on how they preach in their videos. Bad impression overall.
A seriously un-proffessional move by EC and while I think the actual crew are amazing, James possibly needs to grow up a little and learn how to do things in the business world, since the way he handled that situation was bordering on childish.
