I pre-ordered it yesterday, and it says that we have play time between the 12th and 19th June....but nothing is happening, their official site is down, and any forum talk i've seen is of no help....has anyone played it? How do i get my pre-order play time?

It's pretty decent, a lot of interesting ways to play it. You can craft decals and design a jacket you purchased and then sell it on the marketplace. The more you mess around with designing a car - by painting it and etcetera - and wardrobes you can upgrade your Tuner and Fashionista levels which unlocks more clothes and primitives. I'm a business criminal man.
Haven't done enough of the Action Districts to warrant any real opinion. I just freaking hate the constraints they applied to the 32 Bit OS users and those with only 2 gigs of ram. I have four gigs, but only a 32 Bit because Windows 7 won't let me install a 64 Bit. Luckily though I found a way to remove it.
I enjoyed it enough to pre-order it using a promo I got from EA Games and purchased through the EA Store. You can't enter your pre-order key anyways, not until after the Key to the City event is over... that's the word on the forums anyways.
And is the Escapist going to start a Clan or Gang?

I found out how to get my key to the city and download the game. I went to www.apb.com (which worked the third try), and used my product key to create an account. Downloading 7 gb of game as we speak

I'm interested in it as a concept but I have not played it, nor do I know anyone who has played it, and most information I have gotten has been second or third hand at best.

The gameplay is buggy and inconsistent, and the All-Points matchmaking is shit at best. During my five hours of Action District, I was constantly thrown up against people who had rocket launchers and fully automatic weapons while I was stuck with a pea shooter and some twigs. In addition, the game crashes often, and the lag correction (since you ARE in an MMO) is non-existent.
On the plus side, the combat was decent, the car chases were wonderful, and the design aspects were absolutely top-notch.
I won't be picking it up on launch, but I will be checking it out a few months down the line.

Dude, our character dress sense is scarily similar. I picked a mucular body, black hair and bluey white eyes, but when i went to clothes i went as plain as i could....i hate the fashion aspect of the game....the rest of it rocks.
