its... quite... Meh. I suppose It's not bad. but Not quite what I like. Bit, Disgusting?

And poor Pete tastes like "shit" to quote the cat whose name I forget... Cuddles was it?
Exactly, but it does have potential. It was good for a good intro to characters though.
True dat. I'll continue to watch from lack of better things to do, and well I've had a terrrible day so my humour radar may be dead.

Sorry but......fail!

Better luck next time.

You need character plots and a better storyline. That and it was not funny at all.

It was all right. And of course I would say this: I "heart" Cuddles.

After the teaser I was a bit skeptical, but this series is really showing some potencial.

I wish I could have a cat like Cuddles........
I'm looking after a cat this weekend who is almost exactly like Cuddles. She hates people.

There's many series on the Escapist so far. The majority I didn't even really like that much initially but saw enough potential in to grow, so I kept watching. None of them disappointed me as they grew into favorites.

This one... I'm not quite sure. I want to like it because it's on The Escapist, and nearly everything on this site is good and on a high level. This is slightly too derivative for my taste, and that's coming from someone who enjoyed the second season of Unforgotten Realms.
I somewhat feel as if it peaked already during a point I had problems keeping my mind to it.

I'd love for this series to prove me wrong, though.

Ok, so it wasn't the funniest thing I've ever seen, but I may give it another go when the next episode appears.

I like the idea of the setting, but I get the distinct impression of a badly animated "adult" cartoon series. Only with better animation.

Sitting as a maybe at the moment...

I like how the puppet's voice is lower than the preist's, it would be funny if they took of the sock and there was a mutation like on that guys shoulder

Well that was not what I expected... and pretty dismal.

Didn't have the instant grab factor that the other Escapist series had.

Watched it again... and I still think it sucks. Apocalypse Lane? More like Apocalypse Lame...

I tried to like it, but it seems stupid to like it just because it's on Escapist. I stay with Zero Punctuation, the only worthwhile series on this site. Meh...

The pacing was a bit off, but it had some good lines.
The ending I thought was very good though. :)
Having now watched a few of Jon's other cartoons, I hold out hope that this could become a good series.
Paticularly liked santas last stop.

Some people are being a bit harsh. It's only the first episode, and there were some great parts to it. I didn't like Unforgotten Realms much when I first saw it but i liked it more as it progressed, and I suspect that's what'll happen here. And can people say something more constructive than "meh". If you think it needs improvements, throw in some suggestions.

Well I'll give it another shot next week to see if it improves but to be honest I thought that was quite poor.

I didn't really like the characters, that opening story didn't grab me and I didn't think the writing was funny at all.

I'll probably stick to just my Unskippable and Zero Punctuation.

Not as good as any of the other series on this site, but not horrible. It's short enough that I may watch it next week.

EDIT: And I think this is the worst reaction to any series on this site. Although that is understandable...

Pretty crude - not really my type of comedy.

Some clever bits - I liked the zombie rolling his eyeballs into his head instead of closing his eyes during grace - but my low expectations were pretty accurate.

Another Newgrounder. Thats pretty neat.

Good luck with the show and make sure you take comments with a grain of salt at best, the good and the bad.

I'll wait to see what happens next week but I wasn't particularly impressed with this episode (it felt rushed, I had no idea who was who or why I was supposed to care and we already had the death of someone pushed onto us).

A word of advice to the creator, slow down on the events and take some time to tell us who the characters are, what they're like and why we should be interested in them (as it stands they're just a collection of crazy people with varying skin problems and cannabalistic tendancies).

I don't get it. It doesn't seem to understand what a joke is. It's clearly trying to make me laugh, but I just don't find it funny. A cat taking a shit, people eating another person, this isn't humour of a class I can appreciate.

The most god-awful pilot to air on The Escapist in over 2 years, I couldn't hear the jokes over the sound of a barrel being scraped.

That definitely failed to hold my interest, nothing actually happened.
Agreed.
I agree as well.

I had come to think of The Escapist as a website that made shows related to gaming. This is one I fail to see any gaming-related material in. Except for maybe the zombie character, but zombies can relate to just about anything. Instead this looked like something ripped from, say, SquidBillies (or however that show was spelled), except with no satirical humor and no real movement. Over all it was dry, moderately flavorless, and I feel like my four minutes was wasted.

Its ok. It had some good bits, 'Ok *****, were doin' this!' got a laugh out of me. Its enough that I'm willing to tune in next week to see if it gets better.
this. also, my big problem with this show is that it's kind of nasty.
