That was... new. I'll reserve further judgment until I've had something to compare it to.

Also, is the cat supposed to come of as a more vulgar version of Brian from Family Guy? Because that's essentially what you've pegged him in as.

You know I really liked that, it gave me a "fallout" vibe I wish it was longer I would watch a full length T.V. series of that. Cuddles, Steve, And Willy ARE AWESOME

From the sound of things this show is not my cup of tea. But I'm trying to get outside of my comfort zone and experience new things, so I will gives this show a try.

EDIT: Okay, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it definitely needs improvement before I consider watching it regularly.

I'll start off with something positive. The animation is top notch. It was much higher quality than what I expected from the show. The setting for the show is full of potential. The apocalyptic wasteland is still generally untapped resource.

However, the worst part of this show is the most important part, the comedy. Like many of people have already said, this show is full of potential. It's just that it doesn't use this potential. The jokes are mediocre at best. They're not so bad that I cringed at them (which is more than I can say for Unforgotten Realms) but they could be so much better. All the jokes feel bland, as if I have seen them done before. Apocalypse Lane doesn't really take advantage of the setting and characters.

The jokes don't really focus on the setting or the characters. They are just cheap jokes that could be made by almost any type of character. They characters don't have defined personalities and as a result they feel interchangeable.

Overall, Apocalypse Lane could be good. They just need to utilize the potential for comedy that the setting and characters provide.

Still, it was better than I thought it would be.

Well, it was... interesting. Not very funny, but not very unfunny. I liked it better than the de-rez pilot, and I eventually stopped watching de-rez. Let's see if this one is better.

This show is rife with overplayed character types and jokes.

I'd say I was disappointed, but I had reason to believe it'd be this way, just by looking at the adverts.

Definitely not my thing. At all. Didn't like the characters and didn't think the jokes were funny. I haven't seen every video series the Escapist has to offer, but I think this was the worst pilot episode of a series I've seen in a long time.

It's back to ZP and Unskippable for me as well.

Sorry but......fail!

Better luck next time.

You need character plots and a better storyline. That and it was not funny at all.
You uh, you realise that was less than 4 minutes long, right?

You aren't gonna have Francis Ford Coppola levels of character development or storyline in under the time it takes to cook sausage roll. That would need at least 8 minutes.

In other words: if your issue is character development and plot, how can you judge it off one short ep?

Personally I thought it was decent. Not awesome, but decent. I'll definitely tune in for the next couple of weeks and see how it goes.

Not as good as any of the other series on this site, but not horrible. It's short enough that I may watch it next week.

EDIT: And I think this is the worst reaction to any series on this site. Although that is understandable...
Nah, I think the worst reaction was to either Moviebob, Unskippable or De-rez and all have grown into far better series in the meantime (don't prove me wrong now Moviebob! The 'Up!' Review was very nice).

Meh, didn't really like it, but I guess I'll give it another try next week. I sort of feel like the story was written by someone who's heard of humour, but fails to understand what it exactly is. But, I suppose it has some potential...

Ah, so because this was made by only two people, I should find it better than if it was made by twenty? Really, so if I where to play a rock guitar solo with my wang tongue, which would sound horrible, it would still be better than me playing it with my hands? (which would sound just as horrible.)
Sorry, but I don't do pity-votes.

The cat looks promising. He got closest to making me laugh. Especially when he drew his switchblade.
