Awwww.
As a sucker for sympathetic robots and wordless storytelling in animation, I love it.
The bird clearly knows when it's onto a good thing. Ain't nobody going to fuck with that nest.
The 'appeal' is that Overwatch is a multiplayer-only game. So, story doesn't get in the way for those who only care about gameplay, but is easily accessible to those who do want it. This is a practice that goes back decades (Warhammer, Magic: The Gathering, etc.), and in videogames, dates back to at least the 2000s (TF2, League of Legends, etc.). Overwatch isn't the first nor the last to employ this tactic.darkcalling said:I really don't see the appeal of putting your game's story and characterization OUTSIDE your game. It's a big part of what drove me away from Overwatch.
Anyone care to try to explain the appeal of doing things this way?
The same goes with the most FNAF series fans: Don't like the game but the story is the sh*t!!! Right now the developer throw a new teaser and oh my what a wonderful thing it was for me and for the fans.Hawki said:The 'appeal' is that Overwatch is a multiplayer-only game. Frankly, I'm fine with it. Don't even play Overwatch and I like keeping up with the lore.
