Like Wikipedia, or those damn videogame wikis, I know more about Fallout 3 than I should because of those.
Exactly this.
I know a bit too much Halo lingo now and I don't know how I feel about it.
Ah yes, I visited there when I was going through my Halo phase, I now know how an elite mates.. It isn't pretty.

Maybe an hour at once? Probably not more than 3 or 4 hours ever. I don't get the appeal. It's entertaining but it fades quickly.

So, this tv tropes is like encyclopedia dramatica for normal nerds (seriously don't go to ED, I got linked to there by a Cracked article a few months ago, and now I am mentally incapable of not integrating an unfunny meme into my username)

Oh dear, the /b/tards have converted another fellow human being into one of their own.

Total time would be around an hour, maybe two at the most. I've visited a few times, mostly when someone links it, but I've never found myself being sucked in.

Maybe someone should compile a TVTropes book.
Impossible....due to the fact it will take the author 16 hours to put down one letter.
Okay, that is the second stupidest thing I have ever heard. Are you saying they would be lazy? It's a matter of copy-paste. Why reinvent the wheel?

I've wasted entire weekends on the site.
Then again, it is my homepage...
I know another troper in my anime and gaming club, and whenever something even remotely related to a trope comes up, we look at each other and say the trope name.

I try to be careful with TVtropes. One false step, and you're spending the rest of the day there.

I love that black hole. It's a great place to find new bits of media to consume, and the comments are pretty amusing as well.

Personal Record: 89 tabs in one window, 43 in another. It ended up being the only site I visited for like 4 days.

Right now I'm trying to stay off. I really don't want to end up in a binge like that again.
Ah, fighting his addiction was kind of fun for all of the tedious effort it took to tell him that tabs + Tropes = a non-lethal suicide.

Only 10 or 11? Please, that's barely any! Last time I was on, it was over 70. And that isn't my record.

I'm on the point where it almost dosen't suck me in anymore. I think I have read every major page on there. Dozen's of all nighters that started with "Just one more page." One time I was split between Cracked and TV Troops, it ended when my browser crashed from having to many tabs open.

Though I can't say I haven't learned a few things, and it turned me on to a few good shows from reading their decription pages.

I love it. I've spent many night just reading up on whatever I feel like. Troper tales are (usually) great too.
