Umm... Does no one realise that Warhammer is NOT recommended to people under 12? The store actually says this. Also, Warhammer is hardly big exposure... Its a niche market.

Okay, that's it. That's all I'm taking from you lovely gamers. What nasty people some of you are. How dare you. Shame on you. I'm not here for you fellows, I'm here in my own right and have every right to my opinion. I am not attacking you but YOU have ganged up and are brutally bombarding me with your hatred. You're not even making sense. You will give nothing toward connecting or understanding what I am actually talking about and it's NOT YOU or your silly killing games. ALL EMAIL ADDRESSES CONNECTED WITH THIS WEBSITE ARE NOW DEAD. If you write you're wasting your time, no one will ever see your messages. I hope you enjoy your "victory", whatever you think you've accomplished. It takes no effort at all to be closed minded, combative, hostile and rude. It takes real men to put aside differences and try to understand and find a way to get along anyway. You're all cowards. I've done nothing you wouldn't do in my place. I hope you've had your fun because I'm no longer going to have to put up with your childish, mean, selfish, rude, insulting emails. AND THIS PAGE IS NOT COMING DOWN.
Seriously, what did he expect? That we'd do nothing while he makes baseless claims about something we find important?

This was almost as bad as Fox News and Mass Effect.

Good god this is just hilarious
Particularly funny is the sentence about accepting mutation, I think someone has to tell this guy that every single one of us is a mutant in some way or another without mutation no evolution it's as simple as that.
And furthermore he crtizises Space Marines for their brutality ? come on there are races in the Warhammer Universe far mor suited for a beating.
And besides the inherent ambiguity of the Space Mar...BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD !!
Sorry about that I just have to go and sacrifice someone to Khorne and my defense in court will be that a 30" high figurine told me to do it well let's so how this'll hold up

I thought Warhammer was to show how retarded war was.

"RAWR, SUIT WITH HANDS BIGGER THAN MY FUCKING TORSO"
"RAWR, NO NEED HELMET"
"RAWR, HOLD GUN IN ONE HAND AND CLAYMORE IN OTHER"
"SHOUT OUT OF TOP OF TANK WITH SWORD IN HAND"
"HAVE SWORD IN FUTURISTIC GUN WAR"
"RAWR, WAR MAKE ME STUPID"

Yeah. Not "Look at Buffy McBuff McMuscles over there. He's awesome. You're not. Unless you're a space marine who charges into battle with a sword and no helmet and a suit with the proportions done by someone having a seizure who was also blind and retarded and not that Turkish guy who can paint and is blind. Whi waves his sword whilst poking his head out of a tank in the middle of a battle."

Yeah.

Games workshop isnt evil;merely a shallow pile of derivative wank for fourteen year olds too thick to play decent wargames or come up with their own universes. Ground Zero Games forever, bizatches. Oh, and Starmada.
Games workshop doesnt have any agenda here-I'd be amazed if theres anyone left in that company with imagination enough to consider anything beyond the next cheque. The 40k universe is a pastiche of sci-fi/horror designed to be all deathly and dark purely out of affectation.
so i assume your name is also a genuine description then
I notice you didnt refute anything I said there, and I did suggest some far superior alternatives, so its not all cursing the darkness from me, now is it? Wind yer neck in, kid.

I admit, I didn't read through the four pages, but I will say, I'm glad they didn't read the Dark Eldar codex. Rape and torture up the Ying-Yang. I'm sure they would have a field day.

Oh god, think of the children! They'll be flaying their friends skin off and eating their souls in no time.

Apparently this guy forgot to take notice that Warhammer isn't exactly aimed at kids.

There once was a simpler time, when Creating a badass 7 foot tall Marine woulden't get you slammed. That time is no more.

agreed, but i was merely reacting as you have insulted one of my favorite hobbies and i fealt the urge to insult you but i didn't want to go about it in an imature and unwitty maner.
I remain uninsulted. And right. Most of us War Gamers started at Games Workshop. Download Full thrust and Dirtside rules (they're free and you can use your Games workshop models). I promise you'll wonder what the fuck youve been doing all these years...

This ones badboy, too, if you can cope with the maths involved in the ship and weapons design

...Blood Bowl and Necromunda are still cool, though.

Azrael, as even a quick wikipedia search shows, is the Islamic name for the archANGEL OF DEATH. See what I did there? Oh snap! I know this, because I was going to name my Space Marine Grand Master that and then I found out it was already done. And if this person wanted to make a valid point, why the Space Marines? Theres the Dark Eldar, who torture for fun, the Chaos DAEMONS (really, he/she missed the freakin' demons?) and the Chaos space marines (once again, really?).

Ahhh, the epic failure of... this. No research whatsoever, reminds me of something... Mass Effect? Naw... parents finding scapegoats for their incompetence as parents... I think i'm getting closer.

On to /tg/ and /b/ to post this and get them riled up.

You know, as someone who has an unfortunate habit of starting conversations on public transport, I've met my fair share of conspiracy nuts. I've come to find them entertaining, not actually threatening or insulting. Seriously, the Rothschildes and Zionist conspiracies (the guy asked me if I was Jewish first) and Europe being in a military-industrial complex designed to create war every generation so the People in Power can have a surplus of women to be mistresses andmaids never mind that being powerful and rich does that anyway) being engineered and the great battle between the Lawyers and the Builders (something about how the Builders are kinda liberal free-thinking creators of things, for eg, the Stonehenge Druids; and the Lawyers are those who put constraints on man using religion and law and so on).
Come on, guys. See the fun in this.
PS: Re: "I'm glad he didn't look at Dark Eldar," I think he chose the Imperium because they are the nominal (but not actual) 'good guys'. In other words, if 40k were actually espousing some sort of morality the Imperium would likely represent it, being the protagonist race.

I've read countless articles like this. I just want to take the writer by the shoulders and scream at him, "Dude, chill the hell out! It's a video game!"
I... I don't think that'd be very compelling evidence against media effects theories. Perhaps we should try an approach that doesn't make us appear violent and unstable? Just... just a thought?
.....so that's why it never works.

Did she even bother to read any of the back story. No, I guess she didn't
you are the only person on this thread to assume this person is female, intriguing.
Thats just the feeling I got from it, I live in England and the only people I've ever met who use phrases like that have been women. I could be wrong and it wouldn't surprise me that much if I were.
