Micah looked over at the lithe young man who introduced himself as Connor to them, and eyed him up and down. His voice, and the way he carried himself had set off Micah's gaydar... and he was fairly cute, too.

"Hey there, hun." Mookie said with a slight wink, letting his more camp side show. "I'm Micah, and it's very nice to meet you, Connor."

Micah looked over as Kiska handed him the bottle of Hard Lemonade, thanking her with a hug and taking the drink. He opened it and took a swig, the alcohol hitting him easily, slightly masked by the tartness of the drink.

"Thanks, Kiska." Micah thanked his roomie. "Exactly what I was looking for."

Micah then turned his attention back to their host, and to Connor, glad to meet the Fish with whom he would probably become friends with.

"So, what are you guys majoring in?" Micah asked the obvious question that you ask other college students.

"Nice to meet you, Micah." he said with a grin, reaching to tap his drink with Micah's in cheers as an alternative to . . . shaking hands or something. Connor was pretty buzzed, so it didn't make much difference to him.

He gathered that the girl's name was Kiska, so he nodded to her next. "Nice to meet you too." he said politely before answering Micah's question.

"I'm majoring in sound design. I make music too, kinda like what's playing now." he said, making a quick gesture over his shoulder in the direction that the music was coming from. "And you?"

Susan blushed a bit when Gabriel complimented her. "Heh, thanks. I usually always practice my singing whenever I can with whatever song I'm listening to at the moment or have in my head at that moment. And you sounded great with your guitar and singing. I can tell you're really interested in playing the guitar, if you'll excuse me copying what you just said." She giggled a little. "Why don't you show me your other guitar? In a while, perhaps, so your fingers can get a little rest right now. I can maybe show you my room while you rest your fingers if you want?"

"I'm a Child Psychology major." Micah said with a smile when Connor asked the question. "Gonna be a therapist. There's a low supply of Psychologists who deal with kids, mostly because there's a high chance of being sued..."

Micah twiddled his fingers idly at his side, taking another sip of his Mike's as they talked.

"I wanna be able to help kids, before they become messed up adults." Micah said slightly jokingly. "So, did you make this music that's playing now? Or just stuff like it?"

"Huh, really..." Connor commented. Child psychology was probably the last thing he would have guessed Micah was taking. He just . . . looked nothing one would expect a therapist. His hair was long, and he had several piercings. Not to mention that he seemed to be returning the "looks" that Connor was giving him.

"No, I didn't make this." he said with a chuckle, "but it's good. I kinda experiment with stuff, but it's mostly 'party friendly' tunes. Maybe I should show you sometime."

The last bit was definitely intended to be an invitation. He even surprised himself with how easily it came out that way. While he did like to show off his work, he also kinda wanted to get to know Micah better. He smiled nicely and decided in his own mind that he'd have to try tequila more often if it was going to make first impressions go smoothly like this.

"I'm glad I came too", Claudette said to Lance. When she first had thought about going with him she had been a bit hesitant, unsure if they would get along. But as the night progressed she found out how much she really enjoyed his company. He was kind, intelligent, and a bit of a goofball, something that she found oddly endearing.

She looked down at her watching, noting how late it was. Though she would have loved to stay longer, Claudette knew that she had classes early in the morning.

"It's getting a bit late and I need to get going. Would you like to walk me back to my apartment?"

"Richardson," Joshua began, talking to the Russian girl, "Joshua Richardson. I learned to speak Russian when I attended a private school for most of my highschool, haven't had much reason to speak it since then though; its great to meet someone who knows it naturally."

Joshua then turned to Micah and Connor, both who seemed very 'friendly' to each other, it was more than just a little interesting to see and Josh made a mental note of it, "Well Micah I might see you in some classes then, business psychology major here, trying to stop people from becoming basketcases in the beautiful world of business."

"All right, sure," Gabriel answered with a smile before he set the Ibanez back on its stand and turned off the amp. There was no sense in wasting power by leaving it on. "Oh, and just so y'know, it doesn't take that long for me to sort out my fingers after I stop playing. I'm getting better at long performances, so it only takes a few seconds these days," he added with a gesture for Susan to lead the way. He picked up the acoustic guitar as she crossed the room, already running through a few ideas as to what to play to demonstrate his acoustic ability.

Gabriel's favourite acoustic song, Two Steps Behind, was out of the question, as he had already played Def Leppard. As he recalled, there were a couple of good Bon Jovi songs that used acoustic music rather than electric guitar. Perhaps one of those would do.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Joshua Richardson. And you learned a language you didn't plan on using, and remembered it this long? I am impressed." Kiska said, opening her water and taking a drink.

Kiska saw another man approach them and talk to Micah. He nodded to her, and she returned the favour. "Pleased to meet you, too," she said, but it was obvious his attention was elsewhere. She noticed Connor and Micah becoming fast friends, and smiled. This Connor man seemed like a nice enough guy, and it would be fun seeing him around more often.

She turned her attention to the host of the party, "Business psychology? That sounds interesting, but I have not heard of it before. What is it?"

"I think the only reason it stuck was because of the summer I spent in Moscow while my parents were in the midst of their seperation, "Joshua said smiling, "Moscow's beauty was enough to keep my mind off of their troubles."

She then asked about business psychology, "Well it not exactly the most popular and well known psychology. The fact remains that its one of the tougher ones because you're dealing with powerful people who don't want to reveal their secrets and fear, who micromanage their lives to the point that they can' afford to have issues clogging up their days; us business psychologists do our best to relief their stress factors so that they can manage businesses better and not have to worry about going crazy. Its also one of the better paid psychologist jobs, though I'll admit I'm not doing it for the money; rather its a subject and issue close to my own heart," Joshua muttered thinking of his father.

Kiska smiled at Joshua, "I remember Moscow well. My father grew up there and we would visit every Summer. I still remember it well. I haven't been there in a long time, though." She remembered visiting her father's family, even when her father wouldn't be there with Kiska and her mother.

She listened with great interest to what Joshua had to say, "Oh, wow. I never thought of the trouble that the higher business people would have. That sounds like a great thing to go into. I wish you the best, my friend. I'm sure you will be great at it."

Kiska couldn't help but notice his expression when adding that last part, it probably wasn't something he should think about at such a time, so she tried to keep his mind off whatever was troubling him, "I like what you've done here, by the way. Was this party on a whim, or were you planning this? And how did you send out a message to everyone?"

"Thank you very much,"Joshua said smiling again, "The party, it was mostly spur of the moment, I heard about the non-alcholic one and that sounded boring so I made this one instead; much more exciting if I do say so myself, as for how I got everyone's number; I know people is all, in all honesty it was less of getting your numbers and more getting your e-mails, since most people haev their e-mail connected to their phone I figured most people would get the message."

He flashed another grin, "But enough about me, you haven't told me what you're here for."

"Ah, I see. Sorry that I assumed you needed a longer rest than a few seconds. I'll be sure to remember that. Just play something you know. I'll be listening carefully." Susan walked out of Gabriel's room and towards her own, which was across from his. She opened it up and, after holding the door open for Gabriel, walked into her room after him. "Have a seat on the bed." she offered him.

"Well, this is my room." Susan said, showing him around, pointing with her hand to the various things around her room. Her 32" flatscreen TV on her TV stand, her various consoles, along with her desktop computer, her video games, the few books she had in her room, her CDs, DVDs, stuffed white cat toy she kept on her pillow. She blushed as she picked up the cat toy. "It's a little embarrassing that I still have him after all these years, but I just can't bring myself to throw him away. I've had him almost since I was born." She gave the cat toy a nuzzle before putting it back on the pillow.

"Well I've not had alcohol before, and I don't really know if it's for me, but I'm having fun anyway. You seem to know how to throw a good party," Kiska said, taking another drink and putting the bottle back in her pocket, "And I never thought about e-mails. That is a pretty great idea."

"I'm going into art. Boring, everyday art." Kiska said with a smile, "It is much less interesting than business psychology, and it doesn't help anyone, but I love doing it. Painting, drawing, whatever; I just like making things. My father once told me, 'He who makes a living doing what he loves, never works a day in his life', so I am doing what I love, and I hope to make a living out of it."

"Aww, that's kinda cute," Gabriel said from his position at the windowsill, meaning the toy more than the fact that Susan had kept it for a long time. He whistled appreciatively at the sight of the 32-inch TV on its stand. "I suppose you use that for... Ah. Gaming," he noted at the sight of the consoles at its base.

"So yeah, this is a pretty good setup you've got," he said, complimenting Susan's decisions as to the way she had set out her belongings. "Um... sorry, I'm not really sure what else to say. Conversations can be difficult sometimes. In the meantime, I have another idea." With that he indicated his guitar, having chosen a piece to play. After making a couple of quick adjustments to tune it, checking by picking at the strings a few times, he started to play.

The opening bars were okay, but obviously short of flawless; they sounded like the rhythmical background noise produced when a train was going along its track. This continued for about ten seconds or so, then Gabriel seamlessly shifted into a melody that sounded like it was scaling upwards repeatedly. It was the same notes in repetition, hence the repetition.

Then Gabriel began to sing with the music, "There are days when she's a whisper..." and a loud snap came from the guitar. At which point Gabriel immediately took his hands off the guitar with a sharp, "Oh, God dammit!" One of the strings had broken near the head, and immediately sprung back towards his hand.

As a point of interest, this is the song Gabe was playing:

"Sounds fantastic." Micah said, rather interested in listening to some of Connor's music. "Although it's not my major, I've got some artwork I could show you if you'd like to see. Mostly just digital stuff, but I've done a few traditional sketches... like when I'm bored."

Micah finished his first drink, draining the bottle of its contents and chucking it into a nearby bin. He shivered a bit as he felt the alcohol go down his throat, but smiled and snapped back to his relaxed calm.

"Business Psych, huh?" Micah said with a smile when he heard that Joshua would be taking a Psych course as well. "I guess I'll see you then, if we do have any classes together. Who do you have for your Psych 1301 Prof.?"

"Wow, we've been grooving for quite a while" said a surprised and slightly tipsy Lance, as he checked his watch, before looking up and smiling back at Claudette. He'd had fun and he was sure Claudette had enjoyed herself too, while they hadn't talked much, they had danced for a long, long time and had had a laugh.

"Time flies right? And sure, I'll walk you back, whereabouts are you?" continued Lance as ge began to walk them from the dancefloor, waving a friendly farewell to their host as he passed him.

"Oh, nice. I'd like to see that." Connor said to Micah, taking a long drink from his bottle. He gave his eyes a rub to try and focus better, then chuckled to himself. He probably looked like a lightweight, tipping over with a breezer in hand. Not that he cared, but to his boozed mind it seemed pretty funny.

The conversation seemed to turn towards psychology, between Micah and Josh. Connor had caught a bit of the conversation that was going on while he was talking to Micah, but not enough to really follow. He knew nothing of psychology, but that didn't make him any less interested. He just listened.

"Well, if you're not busy tomorrow... I could show you then." Micah said with a slight wink towards Connor. He smiled at him, and listened as conversation and friendships were made. "And... I don't know about music... But I'm pretty sure I could help you make some noise, if you get my drift..."
