"Real? Why wouldn't they specify a time?" Gabriel asked, taking the flyer and scanning it. Sure enough, the location had been made abundantly clear - even providing directions and an address - but no time at which the party would start had been written down. "Yeah... that is pretty stupid," he conceded, putting the flyer back where Susan had originally left it. Perhaps the lack of time was a simple computer error, or it had been left out deliberately so as to get people constantly arriving at different times.

"It's probably just a mistake from someone who doesn't know how to use Photoshop properly. Anyways... when do you think we should go?" he asked, thinking that he might change into something a bit more formal. He would try the semi-formal look; nothing in regards to the suit he kept in his wardrobe for special occasions. That was over the top.

"How about now? If it starts soon, it's better to go now. If it starts a bit later, it's good to be a bit early. And hey, if it'll take a while until it starts, we have the company of each other until it starts." Susan said smiling and looked over her room to see where she kept her long black coat.

Ah, there it is. She found it on the back of her chair and put it on. "Just need my shoes on and I'm ready."

"Alright, give me a couple of minutes and I'll be right with you," Gabriel answered, giving Susan a quick smile as he made for the door. From there he quickly crossed the central living room to his own bedroom, shutting the door behind him before heading for his wardrobe. "Hummm... let me see," he mused to himself, looking over the contents and trying to make a decision.

His tailored suit was obviously far too formal for an event such as this; therefore a more casual approach would be needed. With that in mind, Gabe picked out a fresh, plain white polo to go with his standard black jacket, and one of the few pairs of jeans he possessed that didn't have a hole in them somewhere. After changing into the new outfit, he gave himself a quick once-over in a small mirror to check for anything out of place. With that, Gabe winked at his reflection, pulled on his shoes and returned to the living room, his wallet, cellphone and keys in certain pockets about his person.

Knocking on Susan's open door before he poked his head around it, Gabriel said, "All right, I'm set to go."

While Gabriel went to change clothes, Susan used the oppertunity to clean her glasses with a small cloth she kept in her pocket. She put them back on her nose and checked to see if she had everything she needed. She had her cell, her wallet, and the copy of the keys she had gotten for the front door of the residence and her room, in zipped up pockets on her trousers.

When Gabriel return, Susan was ready. "Then lets go and party." Susan left her room and closed it, then went to where the shoes and such were at, and put her black sneakers on.

"All righty then," Gabriel answered with a grin. Holding the door open for Susan in his usual manner, he stepped out after her. Soon enough the two students navigated the hallways and stairwells of the apartment building, eventually reaching the ground floor, and walked out into the evening light of streetlamps and the setting sun.

Gabriel quickly remembered that Harbour College's club, The Turret, was on campus, whereas the apartment buildings were a few streets away from the academic buildings themselves. "Um... so how do we want to get there? I don't think it's that far to walk, just a couple of streets... You have a car, right? I could get us there via my own method of transport; I'm pretty sure my moped can seat two if you squeeze on. But then, I've only got the one helmet," he explained, a little apologetic.

Connor considered both choices for a moment. On one hand, he could go to the party and be social and probably still have a few drinks even though the party was supposed to be dry. But on the other hand, he already a guy on the hook that wanted to go to his room.

Of course, the choice was easy. "Yeah, let's just go to my dorm." he said to Micah with a smile.

"But I might need a hand from a strong guy." he added teasingly, as if mocking some dumb girl who couldn't hold her booze, "I had a bit to much to drink."

"Oh, I'm sure I'll be able to help you downstairs, Connor." Micah said with a slight chuckle, holding the arm of the taller guy and leaving the dorm. He walked down the stairs with Connor, smiling at him and joking lightly with him, pretending he was much more drunk than he was. "Don't fall, you'll break your face if you crash down these steps."

Micah walked with Connor to his dorm, waiting while he opened the door to lead inside.

"Ah, the sunset looks so nice." Susan commented. She giggled a bit at Gabriel's offer and that he only had one helmet. "Yeah, I do have a car. But we don't really need it. We can walk anyway. Any excuse to exercise even just a little bit is good." She gave another small giggle and then looked around herself. "Do you know where The Turret is? I've never been here before. I just know where the school is."

In response to Susan's question, Gabriel thought back to a few weeks ago, the last Saturday of the previous month to be precise. He had stopped for a drink at the college club after work, like he usually did; even though he hadn't been a student of Harbour College at the time, he recognised a fair number of the students who had come into the café at which he worked for coffee, lunch or a date with someone special.

"It's close to the main entrance, I think, which is that way," he answered after a brief pause, pointing down the street. "Got its own parking lot, reserved for Turret customers 'cause they can't use the central parking space. Something to do with the college rules and whatnot. Anyways, shall we?" Gabriel gestured to the street, and the two of them set off.

It was kinda nice, walking with Susan. From the time Gabe had spent with her, she had come off as a cheerful, generally happy person. He liked that in people. It was a little difficult to think that they had already become friends so easily. With that in mind, Gabriel mentally told himself that she was just a friend, and a roommate. That was all. He had no intention of jeopardising the friendships with his roommates by taking it any further. Any thoughts suggesting otherwise were just a result of spending time with a friend, who just happened to be female with a few similar interests to his own.

Of course, there would be other girls around the college, whom Gabriel could get to know and with whom he could possibly form a relationship. That thought brought a new smile to his face: one of the future to come.

Connor chuckled along to Micah's jokes as they walked. He really was a bit tipsy and having Micah on his arm was really helpful, but he still could probably have made it home on his own . . . provided he had a wall to lean against.

"Just keep in mind that I'm still unpacking." Connor warned as he unlocked the door and opened it for his guest. "But my computer and stuff is set up alright."

Micah entered the room and Connor went in after him, closing the door behind him. "Here's my room." he said, directing Micah through the living room to his room. There wasn't much in there except his bed and dresser, and his desk with the computer.

Claudette covered her mouth with her hand and coughed, hoping that her hand would hide her rosy cheeks. Lance's question had really surprised her.

After she was sure that her cheeks had turned back to their normal color she looked up to Lance, smiling.

"Of course you can, Lance." He handed her his phone and she entered her number. "There we go."

"Lead on." Susan said as they began walking. Susan liked how the sun shined just at the edge of the distant land. She was a small sucker for sunsets, and this one looked rather nice. Gabriel had been rather nice to talk to, and it helped a bit that he was cute, or so Susan thought. She blushed a bit at those thoughts, and dismissed them. If things would evolve further than just from friends, than she wouldn't object to it. But she would be on the lookout for other people, too. Ah, this was no moment to think like that. She just enjoyed walking beside Gabriel, half-hoping people wouldn't take them for a couple.

After walking for a while, Susan seemed to spot The Turret. "Oh, look, I think I see the place. Can't see it very well, even with my glasses. Can you see it?"

"Hmm..." Gabriel mused as he peered forward slightly to look; the building was off in the distance, so it was a little difficult to recognise under the lighting conditions. Soon enough he figured it out due to the number of cars parked around it, and a few people heading inside. His vision was evidently better than Susan's over long distances. Perhaps she was short-sighted, hence why she needed them.

"Yep, that's the place," he said cheerfully. "Looks like people are starting to show up, too. Seems we aren't the only ones arriving earlier than most." The two of them kept walking for a while, and eventually Gabriel asked, "Just out of curiosity, do you have trouble seeing over long distances? The comment about your glasses made me wonder if you're short-sighted."

"Hmm? Yeah, I'm short-sighted. I can't see very well until something is a few inches from my face when I don't have them on. Let me show you." Susan took her glasses off and moved her face closer to Gabriel's until she stopped a few inches from his. "I can see your face clearly from this distance." She put her glasses back on and looked at Gabriel. "Now, shall we head inside?" she said with a smile.

Gabriel almost flinched at the closeness between his face and Susan's. The last time he had been that close to a girl was back in high school, when he was going out with his second girlfriend. That hadn't lasted long by any standard; Aimee had moved to London and they had agreed to end the relationship because of the distance between them.

Looking down at his roommate, Gabe noticed that her eyes were almost exactly the same shade of green as those he remembered in Aimee's irises. Steeling himself and returning to the present, he stepped back slightly so as to maintain the original distance between them. He smiled in equal measure, and reached up to tuck a free-hanging lock of red hair behind Susan's ear. "Indeed we shall," he answered, gesturing to the door. "After you, miss," he added as the two of them neared the entrance to The Turret.

Those green eyes... They're certainly something. And I've always found long hair attractive... No. Stop it, Gabriel. She's your roommate, a friend, and possible bandmate. You do not want to take that any further, Gabriel told himself, mentally hitting himself upside the head à la Gibbs and DiNozzo of the TV show NCIS.

Susan blushed lightly when Gabriel tucked back the free-hanging lock of her hair. "Heh, of course. Such a gentleman." she said, still smiling.

Does...does he fancy me? Maybe not. We've only just begun to know each other. Then again, anything can happen in a short amount of time. I...wouldn't mind considering dating him. But, we are roommates and might start a band together with Claudette and maybe one other person. Well, let's just see what the future brings...

There were many people who seemed to have arrived already. Susan wasn't shy or anything, thankfully. As Gabriel held the door open for her, she walked in with him closely following. At the moment, the inside of The Turret looked boring, with many people just standing around and talking. The party hadn't start yet, it seemed. "I hope it's not long until the party starts." she said to Gabriel.

"Not bad." Micah said with a smile, knowing what it would be like. "I stayed in the dorms last year, and my room was kinda like this. He smiled and sat down on the bed, bouncing a little bit to test its recoil. "Nice bed... You could probably fit two people on it... although, it'd be pretty close quarters. Have to cuddle together, probably."

Micah smiled up at Connor, looking over at his computer, and standing up after flirting with him.

"So, how about you show me some of the music you've made?" Micah asked politely, leaning over the chair and turning on the monitor.

Connor chuckled as Micah went to the bed. The guy was definitely flirty and was making no attempts at hiding it. It made him wonder just how much his new acquaintance was interested in. "Are you testing the spring for any particular reason?" he asked with a grin, then chuckled at the comments about sharing it. "Yeah, there's room for two. Cuddling is a must."

He stepped around his chair and sat down as the computer started up, thankful for the chance to get off his feet. While he waited, he remembered to turn on the subwoofer under the desk and reached down to flip the switch. There was a slight crackle ofstatic, followed by a low hum as it turned on.

As he sat back up he bumped his head on the bottom of the desk, letting out a groan before laughing and rubbing the back of his head.

"Okay, let me put something on." he said to his guest, quickly navigating through a few menus on the computer and bringing up a list of songs with his name in the "Artist" line. He looked over it for a few seconds as he decided which on to show, and finally chose one from the middle of the list.

The sub came to life with a long, droning bass drop followed by a distorted snare hit. A drum loop panned in and was soon accompanied by the melody and bassline. This particular song wasn't really dancefloor-friendly, in Connor's opinion; it was more relaxed and had an almost lazy mood to it, so it wasn't energetic like a rave song would need. He liked it nonetheless, not all electronic music is created to be danced to, which was what he heard a lot of people believed.

"What do you think?" he asked Micah, looking up to him.

"It's pretty neat." Micah said, listening to the song carefully, his foot tapping idly to the beat. "You mixed this yourself? I'm impressed."

Micah leaned back on Connor's bed, stretching out and yawning a bit. It wasn't that late, and he wasn't that tired... The yawn just snuck up on him. He listened intently to the song that Connor was playing, and when it was over, he clapped a couple of times.

"Very nice, Connor." Micah said, having genuinely enjoyed the song. "Not as fast as the kind of stuff I'm used to, but still rather nice. Actually, I really think there should be more stuff like that represented in the genre. I'll have to snag some of your music from you, bring over my flash drive."

"I'm glad you like it. And don't worry, I've got some faster stuff. Here . . ." he said, putting on another one. This one was much more energetic right from the start, and he just left it to play.

Connor glanced over at Micah once more and flashed him a smile, then he reached up onto the shelf above the desk and pulled a CD off of a stack.

"Take this with you when you go." he said, holding it up. "It's my demo, I've got plenty lying around." Standing up from his chair, he crossed over to the bed and sat down right beside his guest. Connor leaned against him a little bit and handed him the disk.
