Yeah, my Mom beat the original Zelda for NES! I still think that's pretty cool. She won't play any of the new ones though...

My mother used to a big Nintendo fan when she was my age and my dad owned everything from a genesis to a PS1 and actually got me into gaming when I was 3 so...I'd say so.

My dad plays Counter Strike sometimes. We also used to play Warcraft 3 on computers against each other, and we sometimes play L4D or L4D2 together. My mom occasinaly uses the Wii, but not that much.

What is this your playing? Can I play and shoot some baddies? Shoot him! Oh, he's on your team?
How do I? What is that? What is the point?

SHUT UP.

Not at all. My dad considers games childish and a waste of time. He'll watch my play sometimes but it always ends in him saying the game is stupid and walking away, be it Final Fantasy or Left 4 Dead.

My mom would like to learn but it's a little too confusing for her. She at least listens to me talk about games though so that's something.

I wish at least one of my parents were slightly into gaming because anytime I want to buy something related to video games I get the "You don't understand the value of a dollar!" speech even though it's always with my own money. My dad is a pretty huge hypocrite when it comes to this though because he constantly tells me how much time I spend playing games when I could be doing something productive. These days I only play a game about and hour every day or two while he spends the majority of all day every day either at the computer or smoking. I hope that I stay a gamer my entire life instead of it just being a phase.
