are MMORPGs the death of the single player RPG?

I can't agree more. I was a huge fan of ES3 Morrowind but I was amid a major wow addiction when Oblivion was released. I had looked forward to Oblivion but I was too worried about gearing up to really get into the game.

MMO's are dangerous because they make use of ANY idle time, thus become a easy alternative to many things but in the end, all achievements are only virtual.

Well considering I play only single player RPGs and refuse to play MMORPGs, I would say no.
Yeah same here.

I find myself playing old RPGs because they haven't made a decent one for a next gen console yet.

I'm actually more interested in single player games these days, my issue being the number of 'decent' single player RPGs has dwindled. There are plenty of single player RPGs. Just not decent ones.
