Not true at all, what people call themselves has nothing to do with the way they appear, some people dress to fit a certain niche, but most do not I am a gamer, a sports person, and an intellectual among other things.

First of all this sentence is almost impossible to read. You need to add more commas.

Just because people don't dress to fit a certain niche doesn't mean they aren;t dressing to reflect the appearance they want people to see. When you're at the store and you're picking a shirt, how do you decide which one to wear? A common cliche' is "it's just not me" (I don't identify with wearing this piece of garb). I'll shy away from becoming too pretentious and going Freudian about sexual drive and so forth. However you can't just say "I'm right". Offer an argument with it, that's all I ask.

You offer yourself as evidence. The epitome of anecdotal evidence. You couldn't get a more biased case study if you tried.

So then, from an objective point of view (based on this info) I'd conclude that you're not a 'gamer'. Because being a gamer involves a whole load of social conventions and implicit meaning beyond 'playing games'. If you're honestly thinking that I'm calling everyone whos played a game introverted, or ugly or whatever then I'd say you're deliberately misinterpreting me to flex your 'intellectual' muscles.

I am also an introvert, but it doesn't stop me from holding myself in confidence and talking to people should they approach me, and I am a very approachable person, so your analysis is based on the simplest ideas of how people act and it shows your ignorance

The intellectual scene is actually ruled by Rationals, half of which are extroverts. Most introverts are fairly average in academia in fact, if not outright cruddy.

I have no problem with the definition, it's mostly correct. I have a problem with the words used, it's unflattering and we get enough flack as it is. Particularly "shy" and "self-centered". Shy implies that we fear interaction, which isn't always the case; we simply thrive in near solitude. Self-centered implies we don't care about others, but being introverted isn't mutually exclusive with being compassionate. Words like "reserved" and "introspective" are much better.

For the record, and some fun, I'm an INTJ, with extremely expressed introversion. My personality type is common among villains, so yeah I'm a bit peeved about my double bad rep.

I look alriiight. In a vaguely scruffy metalhead way. I haven't had the stereotypical problems with gettin a girlfriend and she's good looking so meh I'm fairly sure I can't look too bad. Got a reasonably good amount of muscle etc too and i'm nowhere near fat so that probably helps.
No spots or glasses.

Only thing that really matches the stereotype with me is bad hair. I don't really know what to do with it so it just ends up being a vaguely moppy thing.

Anyways Vin Diesel is a gamer and apparently a wow-nerd and he gets women pregnant just by winking at them so I think the stereotype is just wrong tbh.

Dude, Vin Diesel is a public figure and someone who is very rich. His looks have nothing to do with it since he is very ugly. I don`t think you understand that looks are pretty irrelevant when you can spend 100k/night.
