Are we a real life version of The Sims?

i was wondering what that green plumbob was doing floatiing over my head...

this calls a lot into question, i suddenly realise now why all the toilets in the entire house disappeared, and i found myself locked in a room with no doors or windows...

and to answer your question, i found a way to cheat life, heaps easy, just open up the console and enter some codes in, i have a solid gold house now

failing that you can always piss around with your mobile phone while liberty city cops shotgun your ass

why not? I mean think about it, in the sims you can have your sim play THE SIMS!!! Does your sim know it's playing the game itself is in! That's like the neverending picture in picture effect!

Well, I'm just going to go ahead and say that, we can pull the same argument as we always do for such things and say "prove it" "DISprove it" "prove it" "DISprove it"

I cannot disprove that we're all just Sims, although I will say the player sucks at micromanagement because the third world is fucked.

I personally however thinks its more likely we're just... this. No matrix simulation, no abstract mathematic equation in motion, just... this. Why complicate life further!?

the writer's ass. Although his ass has made speculations that turned out to be true before, but take it with a grain of salt.

anyways, we have definitely found ways to cheat life: medicine gets extra health, gym gets extra strength, guns give extra damage, body armor gives extra defense, cars gives extra move speed, x ray vision gives map hack, etc, etc.

Movies don't have to be realistic. Neither do games. No one said the Matrix was logical. It is merely constructed to be a great big mindscrew, with Gnostic and Zen influences for spice rather than true depth. I liked it for the action.

I would think not because chances are we were programmed not to figure out that we were computer programs so if we come to a self-realization and find out what we really are then that would contradict the programming. Notice that no Sims seem to notice that they are computer programs. That's because they were programmed not to know. Unless we were purposely programmed to figure out what we really are which is very unlikely.

But we weren't programmed not to figure out. Our programmer made us think logically, and logically we're not computer programs. No one can really come to self-realization, because they cannot prove that they are what they think they are, and we cannot accept something without rationalizing it...whoever programmed us must be a real genius.

My theory on this is, that if we are a computer simulation, why would our creators give us such an advanced AI that we could question this matter in particular, and talk about it via forum. We have fredom to choose, why would they give us such a freedom to be as smart as they?

I like it. The ony JiHad you commit is forcing Sims to crap, drown, burn and starve in their own virtual environments. Only if we could give the fundamentalists a laptop and a copy of the Sims, this conflict would be resolved.
