This.

Peter Molyneux. Say what you want about him being a liar, if you take them for what they are, Fable 1 and 2 are better than most games.
I wouldn't call him a liar because I don't think there's any malice in his over-ambitious press releases - he's just prone to telling us what he wants to put in a game rather than what'll actually be implemented in the final release. I agree with you he's one of the best designers in the business.

And, as everyone else seems to be listing companies, Paradox Interactive. With the caveat that for "1.0" read "public beta".

Oh, so we can name companies. About Peter Molyneux, I personally didn't believe him a liar. But other people do. To be perfectly honest, I enjoy Fable 2 more than Fallout 3, merely because of the social aspect. Fallout 3 was a lonely game. Even with the followers...Who kinda sucked when anything more threatening than a Radroach attacked. Except Fawkes. But I didn't really like him, he's just TOO strong.

As for companies, I gotta praise a company that never gets any credit, DICE. Battlefield's multiplayer is always fantastic, and Mirror's Edge was incredibly innovative in a stale gaming environment. Valve...they're good. But L4D is just not my thing. And neither is Half-life, really. At least, all but episode 1 and 2. It's too lonely in HL1+2. But having Alyx around in the episodes made it much for fun.

Well,i do endorse:

- Valve, for their fan respect. They are yet to irreversibly disappoint me. Especially Robin Walker, head of TF2 division.
- Insomniac Games. Especially whoever thought Lombaxes up. Because Lombaxes are made of awesome.
- Most indie developers (Jonatan Blow for Braid,Kyle & Mike for World of Goo).
Seconded (for all three). Valve is quite possibly one of the most devoted companies to their own fans. O yea, and if a game title has "Made by Tim Schafer" written under it, almost instant buy.

Individuals-nope.
Well maybe Yahtzee, but he's more of a comedian than anything else. (me thinks)
Companies:
Blizzard cuz they made Starcraft and Diablo AND Warcraft. C'mon.
Bioware, I love their RPGs.
And Ensemble Games of course. They made Age of Empire I-II.
(AoE III is not a real Age of empires game, because it is not good)
Edit: Oh, how could I forget Valve.

Have mercy!

I can't believe no one has said Rockstar
They're not a singular person.

Also, to mention being a fan of Rockstar would mean being personally hunted down by the Daily Mail.

Never really thought about it that way... but I could probably say that I'm loyal to Tim Schafer, I've played a lot of his games and enjoyed the hell out of them.

Terramax mentioned Steve Ince. Now I can't say that I'm loyal to Ince, but he deserves a mention if he was a part of the Broken Sword games (that fucking rules). But before Terramax mentioned him I had no idea of who he was.

Only musicians and composers, like Nobuo Uematsu & Jeremy Soule. Other than them, and maybe a couple of voice actors, I tend to associate video games more with their developers and publishing companies rather than individuals.

Bioware and Bethesda because their rpgs always blow my mind.

I would also have to say Monolith because I like their Fear games and condemned games.

Lionhead because their games are always fun and creative.

Hironobu Sakaguchi because of his effort on the final fantasy games from 10 downward.

You know what, i'm gonna go out on a limb and say Peter Molynuex. His stuff is never as good as he says its gonna be- but he always promises that his games will be so good as to be congealed from a potion of the blood of Mario, the power of the sun, and the ejaculate of God. While not meeting these unreasonable, yet ambitious, standards- his games are all very good (although Fable 2 was lacking in the replay value contained in his other games).

Whoa! You actually like Peter Molyneux's games...
The only half-decent Molyneux game I can think of is Populous. (And yes that includes the god-awful Fable series). Milo is perfect for the pedobear...
I suppose I should also add /sarcasm, but I did enjoy fable. Never played the second though.

Great grammar and spelling!
OT: I support Valve, because they make awesome games, Blizzard for bringing me WoW and Relic because Dawn of War is a fucking great series.
