I was...probated...(?) once because people seem to have clicked "Report" on every post on the topic...
"Probated", that just sound nasty!

I was 'put on probation' for posting a lolcat back in my wee post count days. Other than that I am clean as a whistle!

Then here's a stance for it, no posts are allowed in favor of or against gay marrige. If you don't like one then both in order to be fair should not be allowed.
Should we also then have the stance no posts are allowed in favor of or against, say, interracial marriage?
If one stance gets people suspended but the other doesn't I'd say it's a tad unfair. Then again I haven't seen a thread about that specific topic so I'm not sure if it would apply.

I had one thread (the only thread I ever started >.<) fizzle out rather quickly but I've never been suspended or (obviously) banned.

I've been a good boy!

So you're saying the solution is unfair unless it gets rid of posts in favor or against:

--freedom of religion
--child abuse
--women's rights
--rape
--slavery
--human sex trafficking
--software piracy
--ethnic cleansing

along with a host of other issues?
Big difference here, most of those are crimes. For the ones that aren't if you're against them you should be free to say it if you don't care that everyones opinion of you will drop.

I have tried to behave; No probations, warnings or other disciplinary actions have befallen upon me, yet. But I´m still far away from being a perfect escapist. It takes more than just a clean record to become perfect. For example, I could be more contributive and set a better example to other members.

But hey, no one´s perfect. Just try not to make too big a mess of things.

Probation for low content thread. I personally think the amount of content should be determined by the people. Just because it seems empty to you doesn't mean other people see it the same way.
I'm going to stop now before I dig myself a hole

I try and right now I belive I'm a good escapist, in the past however not so much. The mods have been quite lenient on me when I have been in breach of the rules, or maybe I have odd expectations its hard to say.

So is denying a person the right to get married because they are gay in certain jurisdictions, but we'll leave that aside for now.

For the ones that aren't if you're against them you should be free to say it if you don't care that everyones opinion of you will drop.
Well, then you're saying that any attempt for a board to keep intolerant material off its board is unfair. That's more than just "a mod didn't like my political point of view": that's saying "it's an illegitimate exercise of mod power to act against any material on the basis that it's intolerant."
For the first bit it is not a crime as according to most states gay marrige is illegal which puts the law on my side.

As for the second bit you claim I'm intolerant. fine. The mods were intolerant of my point of view which does not make it any less valid, it just means the mods were deciding that their stance was the only right one which shows their intolerance. They didn't like that point of view so they try suspend people who have it and share it. Then kindly explain to me why the pro gay marrige people don't get suspended but the anti gay marrige ones do?

Am I perfect? Yes. Yes I am.

But seriously, I've had no infractions, which means so far they haven't caught any of the horrible things I do like...

Ahaha, didya think I'd fall for that?
